Hey everyone,

I have a "strategy" question.

While the week after Labor Day is notorious for being less crowded since most of the kids head back to school, my wife and I decided to take the trip down that week. Plus at the end of the week is the DIS event so we figured we could wrap up the week with the team!

But now we've been thinking, would it make sense to do this seeing as it's just a couple weeks before the 50th begins? Do you think the parks will be plagued with endless construction vehicles all over the place getting the parks/resorts ready for the first celebration month?

I'm debating whether we should just wait and go down the end of October so we're in the midst of the 50th. It doesn't really matter to me (being in the presence of the 50th), it's more of an enjoyable/experience angle I'm trying to strategize.

Thanks in advance ya'll!

Wish I could answer your concerns. We want to go this fall but have the same questions. We would like to go in mid-October or November but don't know if big crowds for the 50th will extend beyond Oct. 1.

Historically Disney is very good about hiding as much construction as possible. Things like the huge crane that add lights to Cinderella's castle are harder to hide but Disney does a lot behind the scenes and during non-park hours. Personally I wouldn't give it a moments thought and go and have fun!

I think you'll be ok, We were at Disney in the midst of the massive New Fantasyland overhaul back in 2011, we barely noticed any construction, of course there were walls up and if I remember all of our pictures of the castle have a huge crane visible in them but other than that the construction didn't disturb us at all.

wondering the same thing....we have a rescheduled trip the same week you do.... week after labor day to redo our honeymoon for our (now) 26th anniversary (was supposed to be our 25th last year). Anyhow... we are more crowd averse than construction averse.... so thinking we will either keep that week or push it to our 27th (yikes) as we don't want to cross paths with a huge crowd for the 50th
