Oh MAN I thought I had this whole thing planned out in my mind. Now there seem to be a million variables! I thought we should go on our honeymoon this October to take advantage of MNSSHP and the lower crowds, nice weather etc. But would September be better? Are the crowds dealable? What about hurricanes?? Are park hours more attractive?

My gut still says October, but is my gut wrong?

PS...Does MNSSHP go periodically throughout October or is it only on Halloween?

Last year the dates for the Halloween thing started at the very end of September and went through Halloween.

Don't forget September can be a heavy time for hurricane season, October is also hurricane season, but August and September are often the busiest months for hurricanes.

We're hoping to go in October ourselves, but my dh is in Iraq so we have to go when they give him leave after his return home.

Congratulations on getting married!!! Have a great time no matter when you go :)

The crowds might be better in September, but it is still very much summer in Central Fla. Can you go between Thanksgiving and mid December? :earsboy:

Dfi and I would shrivel up and die if we had to wait until NOv-Dec for our honeymoon. We haven't vacationed or had a DAY OFF in 3 years. HAHAHAHA!!

Then go in September. The crowds will be low, you'll get all the PS you want, you can enjoy the water parks and the resort pool. Just drinks lots of water and use plenty o sunscreen. :earsboy:

I say go in October. The crowds are light, the weather is comfortable, and MNSSHP and the Food and Wine festival are going on. It is our favorite time to go!

We have been in Sept. and in Oct. In Sept. there was never more than a 15 minute wait for anything...in Oct. DH and I went for a weekend and ended up not riding anything because the lines were so long. Also Epcot was so crowded because of F&W Festival that it wasn't even enjoyable. If you wanted to try any of the booths it was a 10-15 min. wait. :sad2: We like Sept. better, even though it's hot. We plan on going this Sept. and just dodgeing the hurricanes. :teeth:

We went last Sept between Ivan and Jeanne. Crowds were very light and weather was better than usual due to the hurricanes. I would rather have gone in October, BUT I wouldn't go towards the end of Oct., because of MNSSHP gets busier and busier the closer you get to Halloween. The beginning of Oct still has very light crowds, and I believe that is when MNSSHP starts. Also, Epcot & MK get crowded at that time on weekends, so do those parks on weekdays.

I think October would be nicer. The kids will all be back in school and the weather will still be very nice. Have fun! :goodvibes

End of Sept - early Oct! Light crowds and you'll get to enjoy a MNSSHP and the Food and Wine festival if you want. best of both worlds

We are arriving on 09/30/05 and staying until 10/08/05. Since we arrive in September, its still considered value season, and the crowds are still low during the first week of October. This is our 3rd year to travel during this time. We love it!
