I'm in the beginning stages of planning a trip for DS high school graduation in 2015. We'll be staying onsite so we'll have the express pass. We want to go when it is still warm enough to use the pools, but not hot enough to make us miserable. Would you choose September or October to go? We won't be attending Halloween Horror Nights as neither one of us is interested in that kind of thing - would that impact your decision? I just can't decide - I haven't been to the darkside since 2001 and he's never been, so I want to make this a great trip for him.

after labor day, less attendance in the parks.

can be a hit or miss on the weather.

i prefer to go the last week of september and leave mid october.
my type of weather and less crowds.

and it is swimming weather.

do you have certain dates in mind for each month?

by staying onsite, you'll be using the express lines for the most part.

i'm sure the locals that post on the darkside can give you more/better info about the weather for all of those 2 months.
i just concentrate on a specific 3 week period.

blake shelton is kewl.

can never pass up a question from someone that has blake in it.

I find the end of September absolutely sweltering every time we go, which is our usual time of year to visit. As in, it feels so hot that I'm sure the thermometer just says "The Surface of the Sun". In August at least the thunderstorms keep it cooler, I found very late August way better than September temperature wise.

I can remember in 2010 though that we were there the last week of September and the heat was absolutely brutal. In all of our pictures we are completely covered in sweat. However on our last day, which was October 1st, it was like someone had hit a switch. It was the most beautiful day of the year. I think the high was 82 with low humidity.

We're going the 2nd week of October this year, hoping to miss that September swelter.

October ( though the crowds might be alittle bigger and the studios closes early alot of nights for HHN) is cooler ..September is still very hot and very humid
