September or October for HHI!

I have to change our HHI plans, someone will be happy. We were going over the 4th of July, but I have been offered a summer course to teach, this will be my swan song, and I really want to teach it. So...September or October? I have read about jellyfish being numerous there in August. We have been there over Halloween, but this trip would be in the middle of either month.

Any significant reason to choose one over the other. So far both dates are available for us.

September has a better chance for warmer weather. You can some cool days in October.
September averages about 85 degrees, October about 77 degrees.

Having lived in the area for five years, October was my single favorite month of the year. Room temperature outside. Both months are reasonable/ I would base your decision on recreation priorities:

Beach- September, the earlier the better.

Golf- October, the later the better.

Relaxing/shopping: you won't go wrong either way.

We have had a vacation home on the Island for 11+ years and October is probably my single favorite month there. I agree with the PP who said later in the month is better.
