Hi folks:

I'm trying to figure out when we should go to WDW this year. We normally go in September but this year, I'm thinking of the monday after thanksgiving 11/26 to 12/3. DD turns 3 on 12/2 & I thought it might be nice to celebrate her bday there. How are the crowd levels this time of year vs September? I know it's probably not as hot & humid as Sept, but I'm just worried about crowds more than the weather.

Thanks.

Wow. That's cool. My DH's birthday is on 12/02 also and we are going to WDW Nov. 27th thru Dec. 5th! I have never been during either month but I think the crowds would be similar. This time frame is supposed to be relatively light. Ya know, right AFTER Thanksgiving but BEFORE Christmas week. I hope you choose November/December! See ya there! (We'll be at the WL.) :thumbsup2

I've been at both times of year. We were 09/01, 12/03 & again 09/04. The crowds were non-existant in September. The rides were walk on BUT the heat was pretty bad. & for some reason it rained every afternoon for a couple of hours & there is always the risk of a Hurricane. Dec. the weather was really cold but I prefer cold to heat anytime, the crowds were very light & the Christmas decorations were up so it was beautiful & really magical. But I've been reading in other posts that Dec. crowds are picking up. But I think my vote is for Dec. because of the decorations in all the parks & at the resorts. & there's nothing like being at Disney during the holidays.

If you have never been there for the Christmas Decorations, you will love it there in Dec.

We went last September, the heat was unbearable for us. My husband wanted to go back the same time this year but we are going in December this year- I will cry when I see all of the xmas decorations after seeing them on tv. Go with december!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also vote for December. You should see the holiday decorations at least once. And depending on where you live, it may not seem cold to you at all.

And you should definitely do all the birthday things for your daughter.

My vote is for december but i am biased we only go in december

That's a toughie; September- little or no crowds, heat. December- can be cool/warm, can be crowded, but the seeing decorations in person are almost worth the crowds and the weather. If you are an early bird do the morning EMH at each of the parks in December; the parks usually start to get crowded around 10 or 11 and by then you will have ridden everything you wanted to ride with little or no waits (Rode Rockin' Rollercoaster last Christmas 3 times in a row during the morning EMH).

Another vote for Nov/Dec. The first time we went as a family back in 2002 we went during this time and we loved it. So much so that our next trip this year is Nov 25-Dec 2. I love seeing the Christmas decorations. Plus they have Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

I seriously considered going Aug/Sept but when I read how hot and humid it is then that convinced me to stick to Nov/Dec.

I have also been at both times ! We usually go in September, the weather is really humid and the crowds are sparse which is good! We went in December last year for my birthday and it was awesome! The weather was a LOT cooler and there were bigger crowds, BUT the whole feel of Disney at christmas was amazing and the lights are just beautiful! But I think you'll have the best time whenever you go!
