September/October Photopass Swap - Anyone interested?

I'm borrowing Cruiser1969's idea and organizing a Canadian Photopass swap. My dates are September 26-October 8th.

I believe that up to 5 cards can be added to an online Photopass account with an unlimited number of pictures/CDs. I can arrange for payment and will divide the pictures onto the appropriate CDs once they arrive.

So if anyone is interested, send me a PM!

I think these dates could work. I was reading on Cruiser1969's thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1434405 that we have 30 days from the time the first photo is taken to create the account. And from that point, another 30 days to order the CD.

So if I started the account on October 9th, the 30 day deadline to order would be November 8th. What do you think?

I also had one other DIS'er PM me, she's interested as well. Her dates are at the end of September but she hasn't confirmed her trip for sure yet. Wow! If this works out, we'll almost have 5 people to split the cost with

Hi Hodder,

Basically the Photopass swap is a bunch of DIS'ers getting together, combining their Photopass card numbers onto one account and placing a single order for their photo CD. We split the cost of the CD ($120 + $5.49 US shipping) and any other costs. However, this only works when the trip dates of those involved happen around the same time.

Right now we have 5 people in our swap including myself. For now, everyone seems confirmed to go. I think 5 cards is the limit but I can check on that. (** If anyone in my group is planning to cancel their trip or wants to do the Photopass on their own, please let me know ASAP **)

What are your dates? If you're interested in the swap, I can add your name to the first post and see if anyone else is interested in joining a 2nd group. I won't be able to organize payment, pictures etc. but at least you'll have the names of some other people who want to do the swap. Alternatively, if someone backs out of my group, I can let you know.

Thanks. I am going Sept 8-21, but will just think about it for now. When went in 2005 never used the Photopass, only had a couple of pics on it and we don't use (or even have) credit cards so it's not of much use to us. It's not easy sometimes with no cc but we like paying in cash and being as debt free as we can.

How would this work with any DISNEY enhancements that I may want to add? Would we each have the login and password for the account, so we could look at our photos and add the extras before the CD is ordered?

The way I see it happening is that we would all take turns with the account and I would PM each person on the swap with the account name/password when it was their turn. I'm not sure if we can all go in at the same time to make changes etc. Each person would then get x days to review the account and select/enhance their photos.

I e-mailed the Photopass site and they said there was no limit to the number of Photopass cards per account. However, they said that each card could only be claimed by one account. This means, if you register your card on another account, it won't work on our swap account.

Those dates should work with our swap So I'll add you in! This means we now have 6 people in our group!

Even though there isn't a limit on the number of cards on an account, I do still want to put a limit on the group. This way everyone will have a few days to review and edit their photos before we order (and the 30 day time limit expires!). I don't want anyone to feel super rushed. I will send a PM to everyone in our group tonight and if everyone is confirmed, then I will close the swap.

I think we might be interested. DF and I are going to be in WDW October 7-12 for our wedding planning sessions. We'd planned on taking a lot of pics with characters, etc. I'll get back to you for sure.

We are also from the US and going Oct. 24-31. Would like to join in the photo pass swap. Sarcasticblone, maybe if a couple more people from the States want to join us would could organize a group to save a little on shipping.

My family will be arriving on the morning of September 17, 2007 through till the evening of September 28, 2007.
Driving from Vancouver BC to Seattle WA to catch a direct flight to Orlando, and to save a few houndred dollars each in airfare cost.
On our last trip we only got around three dozen photos.
I am interested in getting the CD of photos and will try to get a few more photo's taken this year.
If it is possible to pair up with a few people here to reduce the cost of the Photo CD that would be great.

So far I have about 6 people in my group. I want to confirm with everyone in the group that they're still in. I'd like to keep the group small because I want to give everyone enough time to edit and add embellishments to their photos.

I've sent a PM to the group so give me a day or so to see if they're confirmed.
