I can't believe I was beaten to the punch! Very excited though!

We had a scare last night. I announced "only 37 days to go!" at dinner and DS2(4) said "yeah, only 37 days til we go to Disneyland!". DH and I stared at each other for a couple of seconds before I gathered myself and asked why he thought that. "oh, I just REALLY want to go to Disneyland". Phew! I'm hoping he's not some kind of evil genius and has worked it out. NHL does have a good imagination and plays pretend a lot so I'm hoping it's the way he said!

I said to my husband "Guess what is exciting about today"? He made a few attempts (all wrong) before I told him that today we can now officially say we're going next month.
'Oh', he said, clearly not as amused by this fact as I was.

Our final countdown is on now...we go THIS month! 28 days to go...it's a little bit scary actually!

27 days here Can't believe that we've got less than 4 weeks to go.

A bit bummed about the dollar going below 90c...I will not let it curb by spending

I was extremely happy with my colleague, who came bounding up to my desk shouting "You go NEXT MONTH!" She went to WDW last month and totally 'gets it'.

woohoo next month - changed one night wdw to universal and paid. bought Disneyland and universal tickets. going to pay for a couple more hotels tonight.

Why is it that the husbands (usually - there are exceptions) just don't seem to get it like we do??! Thank goodness for my daughter, I have someone at home who wants to hear the details!

My DH really enjoys our holidays once we're on them, but he never gets caught up in the build-up like I do. It does disappoint me a bit, but I really shouldn't complain.

He's the one in the relationship who likes to HAVE nice things and I'm the one who likes to DO nice things. We agree that we compliment each other nicely. If we were both like him we'd probably have a gorgeous house, but no fun memories. If we were both like me we would have seen half the world, but would be living in a cardboard box.
