If you had to pick the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th week of Sept. to go to WDW, which would you pick? Which week might be the least crowded, or are they all the same as far as crowds go?

We have been to WDW every week during the month of September. In my opinion, based on past trips, the best week is the full week following labor day. It can still be hot, but the crowds are non-existent.

We've been over Labor Day and the last week of Sept. I couldn't stand the heat over Labor Day and are planning this year on last week of Sept. (It especially helps with kids 'cause DS7 will be starting 2nd grade on Sept 5th).

Crowds are a little busy over the holiday, but die down considerably after that. I'm sure it's busier at the end of Sept vs. the beginning of Sept, but it's still September and I don't think it gets that much more crowded at the end of the month.

We were there the second week of September 2005 and it was very quiet. Everything was basically a walk-on except Soarin', which was about a 10-minute wait. We loved it.

We were there during the 2nd week of September, 2003 and the crowds were non existant. We had the place to ourselves. However, it was very hot that week!!

We've gone on Labor Day - small crowd at MK, but spent a week during mid-Sept and had no lines for anything. It is pretty hot, so not sure if last weekend would be any cooler.

Enjoy :teeth:

Thanks, everyone. We can handle the heat, but I'd like to go to WDW during an off-season crowdwise.

Just to add my 2 cents. We were there last year in the third week of September and it was perfect...never a wait--walked on everything and stayed on several rides over and over--kids loved it and rode BTMR until they were sick. :p The crowds were minimal and it was warm, but not overly hot. We never used the sweatshirts I carried around with us, even at night.

Went on 9/17 last year -- no lines anywhere, any park. Hot, though (for us!) But we could take it nice and slow and have a long cool nap at the hotel each mid-day.

We went the third week of September last year and the crowds were non existent. We did not mind the heat it was the humidity that killed. The minute you walk out the door you are already wet with sweat. I did not enjoy that at all but we are from the northwest and are not used to that type of weather.

Went last year on Labor Day, was great but started to get busy on the weekend. The Night of Joy also cut down the hours MK was open.

We are going the 9th this year since the girls have their first break starting on the 9th.

We must have been there the same week---isn't it funny how people from different parts of the country feel in different weather? :rotfl: We are from OK and that humidity was nothing! We even said, the temp in Fl would feel 20 degrees hotter in OK because of the humidity :sunny: Oh, well---then, you should see how people drive around here at th littlest sign of a snowflake :lmao: You would go crazy :goodvibes

We're used to the hot weather, too. It's good to hear that crowds are generally low. I know that parents pull their kids out of school to go to Disney, though maybe it's less likely they'll take a vacation right after the new school year starts.

I do know that Sept. is hurricane season, but that is low on my worry radar. I'm not going to think "gloom and doom" about hurricanes, though I've been through a few and I know what to expect. I hope the experts are wrong about this being another busy hurricane season. We've all seen our share of damage these past few years.

I like to go the week following Labor Day, thinking that teachers and students wouldn't want to miss school so early. I've done this 3 times, and the crowds were very low. I'm looking forward to going the same time this year too :thumbsup2

We ended up making ressies for 9/12-9/19. I purposefully picked a week that was inbetween Night of Joy & MNSSHP, though now it looks like MNSSHP might be scheduled on the 15th.

Here's to hoping for low crowds, good weather, and yummy free food! :goodvibes

I'm also hoping that the Nemo attraction at The Living Seas will have a soft opening during our stay.
