Great info - Thanks so much. :goodvibes
You're welcome!

By the way, I didn't mention the food and wine booths around World Showcase Lagoon. To me, those booths are just a small part of the Food & Wine Festival. However, many guests don't even realize that there's more to the Food & Wine Festival than those booths.

I had no idea that this was such a "big" event. We are all very excited (just like a bunch of kids). This is going to be great - most of the girls going are gourmet cooks and know their wines. :drinking: (One went to Tuscany for cooking courses). Trying to choose from the many venues is going to be difficult. This is going to be a great event for all of us, I'm so glad I was able to change my reservations.

I would like to make this a special few days for my friends. I would like to have a small gift for each of them waiting in our room when we arrive. Something like a Mickey in chef attire would a cute memento. Any ideas on who to contact?

Touche,

There is someone on the boards who uses the name Feralpeg who does gift items and delivers to the resorts. I believe she lives in Windmere area. I have never personally seen her work, but, I've read in posts here on the boards that she does a great job.

TOUCHE,

I sent you a pm on my suggestion to get in touch with Feralpeg. I think you'll like SSR. DH and I are going to be there with two friends the same week you're there for F & W. I booked two studios at SSR several months ago (it's our home resort) with the intent of going on the waitlist for BWV at the 7 month window, which I did, but, so far MS has only had 1 studio available so I passed on that one since we need 2. We do really like SSR, but, for F & W it's just so much more convenient to be at BWV or BCV. The Eat to the Beat concert series has been announced for the Festival also. The week we're there I believe the performers are The Beach Boys, Little Richard, and Three Dog Night. Should be fun!!!

I am booked for Monday thru Wednesday night at SSR. How bad are the crowds? I know it will be crowded because of the fest so I booked weekdays instead of the weekends. Was that wise? It looks like (from previous years) that the main venues are all on weekends!

Because the F&W Festival attracts many locals, the busiest days are Saturday and Sunday. The lines at the booths can get quite long on weekends. It's not bad on weekdays.

The Party for the Senses is usually each Saturday. (One time, when we went, it was on a Friday because another event was in the facility on Saturday.)

However, there are other F&W events scheduled throughout the week, not just on weekends.
