Hello everyone! We are going back to Disney...YAY!!! Ok, now here is my question....We have been to Disney before, but this is our first time in September. I am aware of a possible free dining incentive, and know that may boost the crowds a bit, but I was wondering what the crowds were going to be like. We are going to be there 9/18-9/23. Have any of you been there during this time? Comments and suggestions and everything are more than welcome. I am just trying to plan everything out. We will of course be taking advantage of ADR's just as soon as our 180 day mark arrives, so the dining will not be a problem. Just looking for some insight on the lines and crowds. Thanks so much. I would love to hear from you!!! Pictures welcome....Oh and we are making our ADR's for"

Ohana
Hoop-Dee-Doo
Crystal Palace
1900 Park Fare
Yak & Yeti - Table Service

Opinons and pics of the restaurants welcome too! I love feedback! Thanks again!!! Hope you have a magical day!!! :)

Hi, we went last sept. from the 15th to the 22nd, and we thought it was a great time to go. The wait for the rides were short, I think the longest wait was for expedtion everest and that was 20 minutes. A lot of the rides we could just go right back on, a great thing if you are with a four year old! The one thing was that the resturants and hotels are busy because of the free dining. I made ADR's for ALL our meals and we still had to wait to sit. And if you don't have ADR's you are not eating! When we go back next year it will be in Sept. But like I said the resturants are crazy busy! But well worth it!! Most of the crowd will be folks staying on-site. If you can, go to MNSSHP, the crowds were really light for that nite. Just keep in mind that you may have to wait for a table even with an ADR. That was the one thing that bugged me, but next time I will know and will go to the resturant hungry, but not starving, lol!!! Overall, the parks are not busy. Have a great time!!!!!!

I just noticed that you are staying at PO Riverside! That is where we were!! Just a FYI, Boatwrights is really good resturant! The filet that I had our first night there was one of my favorite dinners. It's a great resort, we had no problems with the buses or anything. Ohhhhhhhhh, and I forgot, it will rain while you are there!! You can count on it. We got poured on one night, there was actually a tornado warning that night!! But for the most part, it would rain for a little while and then would just dry right up. Again, have a great time!!!

Thanks for the info! We are going as a Grand Gatherings group with 5 children, ages 8,7,5,5 & 4 (when we arrive) so if we are not waiting an hour for rides that is awesome! Thanks for the advice about the restaurants. We will definately have ADR's, but will be prepared for a wait before we are seated! Thanks again!

hi my girls (will be 5yrs old on the trip) and i will be at disney from the 16th - the 23rd of sept. this is my first time during late summer. i am so excited and hoping for free dinnng and not to hot temps.
have a blast planning as i know i am. i am tryin my best to keep it a secret from the girls.

I am hoping that the crowds won't be too terrible, but I'm sure it will be HOT! We live in south east Louisiana and it is still VERY hot here in September. August and Sept. are probably the hottest of the summer. Be prepared for that....LOL....I personally think I can deal with the heat if the crowds aren't too bad :) We too are keeping it a secret that we are going. My kids have no clue!!

I love going in September. The weather is nice and the lines are much shorter. We just booked a trip w/our twin girls the end of September. They will be just a few months shy of turning 6 and the last time we went was when they were 24 months. I'M VERY EXCITED!

We just booked a trip for the beginning of September, also at POR. We've never been in September and are looking forward to small crowds and HOPEFULLY free dining!

We went the 21 Sept - 1 Oct. last year, and found the crowds to be fairly light. I don't think we waited more than 20 minutes on any ride the entire trip (except for one REALLLY long line at Peter Pan one day for no apparent reason, I think it might have been something mechanical).

I would definitely suggest considering a night at MNSSHP if you go in that time frame...so much fun!!

Bear in mind that it will be HOT.
