September Aulani food fun

FYI: Just got a newsletter from the Oahu Visitors Bureau announcing a Food & Wine Festival September 5th - 9th. It also lists events throughout Oahu and Maui from September 1 - 9th. Chefs like Roy Yamaguchi, Alan Wong , etc. will be highlighted. On September 8th is an evening Signature Event: Savory Ever After which will be held on the beach under the stars at the lagoon fronting Aulani and the JwMarriott.

As luck would have it, we check-in at Aulani on September 8th!!! Now wondering how much it will cost to attend and how many extra people will be at the resort.

Well, looked up the price to attend the event and it is $200.00 per person. Guess that leaves us out. The $500 tickets to the event are all sold out.

I just hope we aren't going to have our beach access cut off while they set up during the day and all evening. Hopefully they will only take up a section of the beach, like we have seen at Beach Club when they have convention events. Only time will tell.
