September 30, 2012 - "To San Francisco and Beyond"

I was just wondering how dressed up everyone is going to be on formal night? Ive worn short dresses in the past but I was thinking about wearing a long one this year. Any thoughts on long or short dresses? princess:

I wear a floor length dress for formal night but I think most wear knee length. Our family enjoys dressing up.

I wear a long dress or a fancy sequin top with a full length formal skirt. DH will be in a tux. Here's a photo of Chuck and DD Sabrina aboard the Magic in 2009.

Reason #4 - The kids love it... but honestly I think I'm the most excited to come see what's in my pocket. :cheer2:
Reason #3 - Get great custom cruise souvenirs made by your DISboard friends :dance3:
Reason #2 - Making FE gift is a fun way to focus pre-cruise energy
and the #1 Reason... You can find your door :cool1:

just kidding... #1 is Making Your DISfriends Smile :flower3:

I totally agree with you Lise!!! Excellent list of reasons to join the FE...

You're going to have a great time on the cruise. Our daughter, Sabrina, was nearly 4 on our first cruise and had a wonderful time. There is some info about the FE on the first post of this thread. There are other threads dedicated to FE exchanges and ones on FE gift ideas. If you need help, there are a lot of us here just waiting to answer your questions on the FE or about Disney cruises.

We're looking forward to see you both at the Meet & Greet!

I was on my phone when I wrote this and I think it came out funny. The show in AP will be the first night you are in AP when you don't have show menu. The show menu is when all the restaurants serve the same menu. For Ex. Pirates in the Caribbean. So you may actually dine in AP before the AP show because you have a show menu. Does that make sense? I hope so!?!:goodvibes

Hmm... I think I misunderstood what the navigator meant by show menu then. So my dilemma is I don't want the girls to miss the AP changing colors and I understand they only do that the first time you eat in AP. we are planning on meeting up with my cousins in Santa Rosa when we are in SF. At first we wanted to meet up the first day in sF since we didn't want to miss the boat if we visited the second day in port and got caught in traffic. But then if we don't get AP on one of the first two nights, then we would have to dine on board the third night for the girls to see it, right?

FE update: As of today..August 19, 2012 - 10:39 pm...we have:

30 cabins

60 adults

28 children:
10 boys -ages 1/2 (1), 4 (1), 5 (1), 6 (1), 8 (3), 10 (2), and 16 (1)
18 girls - ages 1 yr old (1), 2 (1), 3 (1), 4 (4), 5 (1), 7 (1), 9 (2), 10 (1), 11 (2), 12 (2), 13 (1) and 18 (1)

:hourglass The deadline is almost here...any more participants?

So this is the 7 day itinerary so you can better understand

Day 1: Dinner Menu:
AP: Show Menu (Changing Colors Show)
PC: Island Dinner
T: French Dinner

Day 2: Dinner Menu:
AP: Golden Mickey's
PC: Golden Mickey's
T: Golden Mickey's

Day 3: Dinner Menu:
AP: Show Menu (Changing Colors Show)
PC: Island Dinner
T: French Dinner

Day 4: Dinner Menu:
AP: Show Menu (Changing Colors Show)
PC: Island Dinner
T: French Dinner

Day 5: Dinner Menu:
AP: Pirates of the Caribbean
PC: Pirates of the Caribbean
T: Pirates of the Caribbean

Day 6: Dinner Menu:
AP: Captains Gala
PC: Captains Gala
T: Captains Gala

Day 7: Dinner Menu:
AP: Till We Meet Again
PC: Till We Meet Again
T: Till We Meet Again

There are different dinner rotations. So lets say the first time you are seated in AP is on Day 3 then you would have the color changing show on your first night.
However if your first day in AP is on Day 2 then you would have the Golden Mickey's menu and no color changing show that night you would most likely be scheduled again in AP on Day 4. This would be your first night in AP with the non-special show menu.

Hi Christi...

I received your PM and will make a note on the FE spreadsheet that you and your Mom will be participating separately and each of you will be giving out your own FE gift.:goodvibes

What kind of puppy do you have?pluto: We have a yorkie poo.

We have 2 mini Australian Shepards.

Boomerang (Boo) is a 3 1/2 yr old tricolor female.
Timbuktu (Buck) just turn 1 yr old. He is a blue merle with one blue eye and one black/blue eye.

Now I am thinking about SF.

We are doing the night walking tour on Tuesday. I am debating about cancelling and booking it on board depending on AP show since it is offered on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I like these lists and it is now clear to me how the AP schedule works. I would like to see them combined. It would make planning very easy.

When I combine these lists, it didn't add up to what I have. I spoke with Disney a week or two ago and I thought I was told that Formal night was on Monday, Semi-Formal on Thurs and Pirate night on Friday :confused3

Has anyone spoken with Disney lately?

I mentioned this was tentative. It gives you a general idea how a 7 day works. We won't know the exact schedule to after the first Pixar cruise

Hollywood glitter...love the logo!!!!

I'm thinking of using it for magnets if that's OK. My problem is that the date prints really light. I'm not good with kind of stuff so not sure how to make the date darker. Can you help?
