September 29, 2012 - Ropin' Some Magic in the Western Caribbean

The new lists are up. I had a couple of messages and 10 cabins won by 2 votes. I actually put 11 cabins in each group. I added myself (and sister) to each group. I tried to put roughly the same number of children per age group in each group. It was divided ages 1-5, 6-10, 11-up.

Anyone who adds themselves to the list after today, please add to the bottom of the list. When there are 10 cabins, I will add a 4th list.

Edited to add that HappyTexasMom just pm'd me and requested to be on both lists. She has been added. If anyone else wants to be on both, please let me know and I will take care of it.

Also for those not in the same group as me you might be lucky to still get something small from me, i have extras of a couple of the gifts I'm bringing, but not enough to do both lists . And I can't think of anyone else to give them to bc they are this cruise specific

I just did a little adjusting. PiratePug asked to be on both lists. Since happytexasmom is a family of 5, I moved jenandjuice to the other group to balance it out a bit.

There are now 12 cabins in each group and 37/38 people in each.

Sorry gang, I'm leaving on the 17th for a 3 day on the Dream and my thoughts have been elsewhere!!!

Yes, the wrist bands are like the livestrong kind. The website is wristbands.com and it gives a good over view of what we can design. I vote for having a design contest or going with what we have now and adding the dates. We still need to pick colors and such, but overall its painless! It has always been exciting to see someone on the ship with them and say Hey! I know you! Your part of my group! What’s your screen name? You really get to meet everyone and get to know their group on a much smaller scale. The prices works out really well, depending on what we go with. I think the most expensive is $4 per person, but we can keep it low and then have the option of mailing them to you for an extra fee or having them available on board at our first greet. The website I mentioned is giving out 100 free ones when you order 100, we would have plenty for last minute people if needed. I always like the ones who come up to me and ask where I got them, then I get to explain the DIS family!

Love this! I like the design contest idea....would be fun for kiddos of the group. If we do that, I will ask my future stepson to come up with something to enter in the contest, he'd love that!

Like the wrist band idea, and a souvenir from our trip! After reading MANY threads, and picking up ideas.. wondering if we would have a theme? I like what iankh came up with Ropin' some Magic Just throwing it out there.

I think "Ropin' some Magic" is a good theme, too. Since it is the title of our thread would be appropriate! It would also give a start for some ideas for art for the bands!
