September 25 - Can it be Done?

We are WDW vets that visited Disneyland for the first time last July, and fell in love! This year we are taking a cruise to Alaska (to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary ) that docks in San Diego on September 25th at 7:00 a.m. We are flying out of LAX the following morning. Do you think it is possible to get to Disneyland (planning to stay at HoJo's) and have a decent day? I have no idea what the hours will be or if the park will be so full by the time we get there (best guess would be 10 - 11 a.m. or later) that it would not be worth it. We will be with our DD 13 and DS 10. We hadn't planned to go to DL but I can't stand to be so close and not get there. Obviously, we don't have to do it all, but any advice would be appreciated.

That's a Friday so DL opens at 9 am (most likely) and is open until 11 pm. It may be a "busier" Friday since it's the 1st day of the Halloween season. I would do it, even if you get their at 11-12, you'd have 10-11 hours in the park. Plus you'd get to see the cool Halloween stuff. DL is ALWAYS worth it!
