Finally able to go on a Disney Cruise!!! We are going with our DD 3:earsgirl: and extended family. :Pinkbounc:

We are flying from Manchester NH & booking the flights ourselves. If we get into Orlando at 12noonish is that going to be too late? I'm trying to make sure that all goes off without a hitch.

In my opinion, it is better to fly in the day before. Our first two cruises we flew out at the 6:30am flights (which meant getting up at 4am) and were a wreck for a day after. (especially since DS was so excited he would not go to sleep until midnight.) now our last cruise we flew in a day early-which was great since flights were deleyed because of a snowstorm. It took away a bunch of stress. I figured if flights were delayed/cancelled for whatever reason I still had 24 hours to get there-or if my luggage was lost/misdirected it had a day to get to Orlando. I highly suggest you go on hotwire and get a hotel near the airport or port and fly in a day early! The ship does not depart until 5pm, but you can board usually around 12:30. It takes about an hour to get from the airport to the port.

I agree about flying in the day before, especially with a little one. It is very tiring to try to fly in the day of the cruise and still enjoy your first evening on board.

Whatever you decide, enjoy.

Hi Suezpqt!

Are you going to be on the September 20th, 2003 eastern? We are too! We'll be there with our 3yo ds, 6 yo dd, and an infant.

Are you on the unofficial official Cruise List yet?

I agree about flying in the day before. We took a 7AM flight from Boston for our cruise this past JUne, but had to be up at 4AM! This made for an exhausting day for myself, my DH, and the children. I so much wanted to enjoy the night time activities, but ended up going to bed early the first night. September 2003, we have opted to fly in the day before, stay at the Hyatt at the airport, and use DCL transportation. Other options would be the Radisson near the port and use the shuttle. Good luck and have a GREAT time!
