Hope all of you guys have a wonderful time! Extra pixie dust and magic!

Good morning everyone! Just Checking in. Arrived yesterday an ran on two hours of sleep yesterday but It was a great day. Made it to POR about 11am has to wait in line at on line check in for a good while only two registers were open an the people before us had lots of questions and or problems with things. But our room was ready! Alligator Bayou bldg 18 not to far of a walk to the south depot bus station. Btw there are four stops so yes this resort is big an I am glad we don't have far to walk to main bldg from here! We relaxed for a bit gardengrocer order came and then we were off to MK! Make sure to give that one hour window on buses if doing Disney transport. MK wasn't too crowded we walked thru all the main street shops then headed over to Tonys for our 1pm ressie, it was crowded but they got us back within a few mins. We paid out of pocket for this meal so we shared calamari and the shrimp scampi linguine. We inhaled the calamari, it was either really good or we were just starved after not eating breakfast! Lol. The linguine was mah we ate the shrimp out of it an some of the noodles. With dd drink of glowing punch came out to about $40. Not the best. But we were seated by the window with Lady and the Tramp in the alley which was cute. Then we were off for a lil more shopping and to rides finally by 215pm. We rode space posted waited time 10 mins but it was walk on, rode 2x in a row! Then Mickeys Philharmagic which we had not seen since 2008, I didn't remember some o the scenes it was super cute! We did the circle from Tommorowland to Adventureland in two hours rode Iasw, haunted mansion, big thunder mtn, splash mtn all walk ons and then we left for a swim at POR. Left resort room about 730pm to the river to catch boat for dtd , this is when our good mojo left. Should have done bus. 30 mins an 3 boats later we were on our way. Ate at wolfgang pucks express greasy mushroom an pepperoni pizza and chicken ceasar lots of leftovers. Then 30 more mins waiting on bus back home I was whooped fell asleep bout 1130pm an now up to get ready for Akerhaus ressie at 835am. All in all not a bad day crowd levels at dtd were the worse of the day and food was just ok, but today we have more sleep so hoping for better.

That's crazy!!

Peachydreamy I am trying to figure out what my little girls are wearing at TH in case I see you there! Anyone else have overlapping plans they know of? I love that there will be so many of you at CP on the 27th :thumbsup2

I havent even thought of what DS will be wearing, but if you see a group of 7 and someone saying "Logan sit" or "Logan you have to wait" than that is me! :rotfl: My son isnt terrible at restaurants, but at Disney he wants the characters NOW! I cant really blame him!

Im so excited that so many of us will be at MNSSHP the 27th! It will be a party of September Dis'ers!

haven_alise1997 glad your trip has started off well! All these reports of rides being walk-ons have me jealous! I know once I land it wont be like that anymore! :lmao:

I understand completely - when DD was 19 months we went to Disney and had supper at Crystal Palace - she could not understand why Winnie the Pooh wouldn't come over to her - she stood in her chair yelling "Pooh! Pooh! POOH!" :rotfl: Priceless memory...

Leaving in 5 hours after i pick up the kids from preschool. Don't let me forget to give DD4 antimotion sickness pill

haven_alise1997, sounds like all is well if you stick to the buses! Sounds like a great first day so far! peachydreamyxx, I have that same fear, that the crowd levels are great right now and will, of course, swell to biblical proportions when we arrive!:rotfl: I'm still taking a touring plan, just in case! wubbogirl, have a great trip!
I'm going to get my hair cut, and the stuff to give myself a Disney pedi (I'm going to stencil a black Mickey head onto bright red toes just for sassiness), and sunscreen today. Then I pack!:woohoo: The temps are projected to be in the 60s and 70s until we leave, so the shorts and tank tops are not necessary in SC right now. :lmao: I can't believe it's next week!

13 more days until our surprise trip! The secret is killing me. I am going to send a note in to my son's teacher next week and I hope that she doesn't ruin the surprise. We kept it a secret this long. One more day of work this week and then I can focus on packing. The following weekend is just going to be too busy.

Same here  I sent the letter to the school district this week, and emailed DS's teachers. I haven't heard back from anyone, but I stressed that this was a surprise, and to talk directly to me if there was any work he needed to do while we're away. I hope they don't slip up!!

We're doing DS's birthday party this weekend, then we have our neice's wedding on the 24th, so we'll be busy - hoping the time passes quickly.

Here's our quick itinerary - let me know if you'll be in the same places - we'll look for you :goodvibes

Arriving late on the 28th - staying Polynesian.
Sept 29th - morning at MK, lunch at CP, then off to Epcot for late afternoon/evening
Sept 30th - morning at Epcot - this is DS birthday, so we're having lunch at the Biergarten, which is his favorite WDW restaurant. He gets to decide the rest of the day - maybe a park, maybe hanging at the Poly
Oct 1st - morning at DHS, my sister and neice have ressies at CRT late afternoon, so probably back to MK for the afternoon/evening
Oct 2nd - morning at AK, lunch ressies at H&V (neice's choice), afternoon at AK or DHS.

Coming home on Oct 3rd - short trip :sad1:, but packed with fun :cheer2:

We are staying at POFQ. Y'all have a safe trip down.

Ok, I am waiting for my ride to the airport. Everyone have a good weekend, and will post when I get back.
Have a great time!

No more sleeps left before we leave! Yay!
:cool1::cool1:

I am going to have to stop myself from asking everyone if they are DISers lol.

As far as TH goes we'll be a group of six, two adults and four kids and I am sure my kids will be excitable too. Who isn't when they are having breakfast with the characters? ;)

One week from today I will be getting ready to go :woohoo:

:eek:5 more sleeps until we go!!! I can not believe how fast it is sneeking up on me. I started packing 2 weeks ago. Why don't I feel prepared?! My DH told me he is packing Wednesday night, somewhere between Awana's at church and work. I wish he would let me pack his stuff. It's driving me crazy that he hasn't started yet!

I keep having these reoccuring dreams that we miss our ADR at CRT. More like a nightmare!

Luke has never seen the characters, and though he is much better now than when he was a baby, it wouldn't surprise me if they actually scared him. He used to be terrified of the bushes in our front yard :rotfl2:

Both of my girls are old/tall enough to ride alot of the rides this year. Should be interesting to see how they do on Space Mountain and things like that.

9 DAYS!!!!!

SINGLE DIGIT DANCE :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I still don't have much of an update on my FIL. He goes in for tests today. He's had heart and blood pressure issues for a while and we already knew he had a 40% blockage in one artery that they were trying to treat with just meds.

I think now... at this point... they are going to just go ahead and put a stint in (like they should have to begin with in my opinion but I certainly don't claim to be a doctor lol) and everyone thinks that is going to make all the difference in the way he's feeling. the light headedness and such. but we'll find out for sure today whats going to happen.

he is in good spirits though. joking around like usual. Last night my MIL said that when she was leaving the hospital she told him to behave himself and he said "I have to behave... they put this nitro patch on so if I fall over I might blow up" :lmao:

he's determined that this trip is going to happen no matter what. Even if he can't go to the parks and has to stay in the room all day he said "We're going and I won't hear another word about postponing the trip" lol he's stubborn but I'll admit I was happy to hear that lol. He doesn't care if he can't go the parks... he just wants to be there and see the kids faces each day when they tell him all about their day :)

So this week coming is going to be a busy one. I'm going to start packing what I can. We are trying to pack light which is SO hard for me to do lol. DD will be easy...s he just wants dresses lol. and we have dresses that she's getting throughout the trip as part of her birthday gifts that she can wear each day so just a couple extra dresses so we have a change of clothes just in case. We are going to try to pack my clothes and DH's clothes in the big suitcase, pack the little one for DD and then have a gym bag with an outfit each and toiletries for our overnight stop on the way there.

I need to go get groceries so the dog/house sitter has food to eat and I need a few things for us like a case of water, some snacky things to take to the parks for DD and her almond milk.

and then I have to make sure the house stays in order all week lol.

next saturday we are OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woohoo for everyone leaving this weekend! I am one of those people :cool1:
This time tomorrow we should be just getting into FL. We plan on leaving around 5 (maybe a little before because lets face it we will all be too excited to sleep!) It should take right at 10 hours.
I have all our snacks made up and packed. Just need to put some DVD's in to DS. Still waiting on DH to go buy himself a few more pairs of shorts!
Well, safe travels for everyone!

So last night when I couldn't sleep, Why wasnt I making lists???

I just made out the bank list...

2 rolls of quarters, one for the laundry, one for pressing pennies.

1 roll of pennies for the pressing pennies.

24 singles for housekeeping. (3 per night of stay)

2 5 dollar bills for the hotel porter and the airport transportation to help with the bags.

$50 for my friend Amy who I sharing my photopass with.

Oh... and note to self, take one final look at your vacation fund.... there will be nothing in there when you come back.

Still have haircuts, check into flight at exactly 1pm because we have Southwest, pack the car for the hotel stay tonight and, here's the surprise for my DS3, see Lion King tonight in the theater!!!

What are ya'll doing today? What am I missing today?
