Hey all :goodvibes . I hope to see some familiar "Faces" and some new ones as well this month.

The rules are simple.... there are no rules. You decide what your goals for the month are and then report them here as necessary.

Good Luck to everyone!!!!!!

Hi Charming! I'm back for Sept. Now that the kids are in school, I'm finding it's easier to not spend money. Imagine that! :rotfl2: Plus, my job asked me to start working more, so between dropping the kids at the bus stop and working from home, I don't really have time to shop--which is probably a good thing. I'll try for 10 no-buys, but will probably rack up more.

9/1-$0
9/2-$25 Wegmans, $5.50 Dunkin Donuts

hi, new to the thread. Next trip in 5 weeks so need to save AND I am tired of never having any cash, when I make more than enough to live on!
So I am going for 5 no spend days for my first time out!kind od nervous!

I'm excited! This week kicks off our 16 months of saving for the next Disney trip! I only have to pay for groceries and the gym membership out of my account. So I'm shooting for 20 no buy days in September. I'll also update you as to whether or not we made our weekly minimum savings requirement.! I can't wait to see those dollars piling up!

Thanks for getting us started Charming!

We made it though the storm last weekend with very little damage to anything but the power lines, thank goodness. Our power just came back on this morning after 6 days. Needless to say, despite borrowing a neighbor's generator for a few hours each day, we lost everything in the fridge and freezer. The deep freeze made out ok, thanks to those neighbors (any ideas on how we can thank them?!?). This isn't going to be our greatest no buy month, that's for sure! A generator big enough to power the well pump tops the list!!

I'll figure out goals later. Right now, I'm happy to be cleaning!

New to the thread also! My goal is $125 a week for each of the 4 weeks -- that's to cover food, gas, and anything else except utilities. I have a decently stocked freezer and pantry and a full tank of gas :). Where I see problems: I have to buy two baby gifts (one for cousin, one for best friend) and an engagement present (for my brother.) My goal is three no-buy days a week. So far:

9/1 - $0
9/2 - $0

I am going to try for 15 no buy days and $500 for the month. That way I can plan each shopping trip. We will see how this goes.

Hi, first timer here. I'm hoping to curb my misc. spending for the next few months so I thought I'd join in. My big problem is taking cabs to work and random cash spending. I'm hoping for 20 no buy days this month. I didn't start off so well, but I'm looking to reform.

09/01 - $0
09/02 - $10 on a cab
09/03 - $0

Hi all!!!! I will report my numbers tomorrow. We were up at the island at the lake house all weekend and I am too tired tonight to look up reciepts.

So last thursday I did some grocery shopping. I did some meat stock up at GFS and then off to the regular grocery for some items. I am not including the food we bought for Kelley's Island as that comes out of our vacation budget. I also got some gas.

Then yesterday we stopped at our favorite market on the way home for some fresh fruits and veggies. So grocery shopping should be pretty inexpensive this week.
