September 2010 Check-In

Under 50 days !

I'm also surprising DH and DD with a quickie trip a week from Sunday - just for the day. DH *loves* the Maliboomer, so I took that Sunday off and I'm going to sneak them out to DLR for at least a few hours so he can ride it before it's gone forever.

Can you please add us too.. we will be at Embassy Suites South between 19th-29th Sept. Thank you!

Here is a link to a pre-trip report I just wrote if you want to add it! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2529502
22 days!!!!!

:thumbsup2 Awesome! I'll check it out after I get home from work this afternoon and get it added as well.

:goodvibes Of course! I'll add you to the OP when I get home form work this afternoon! Looks like some of our days will be overlapping!

HI Belle Ella! We will be staying at the Candy Cane Inn during our visit! I forgot to pass on that information to you!

Woo Hoo! A Kids Suite at HoJos opened up on the 22nd so I was able to add on one more day there, plus I got it for the ET rate. Now we have 5 days at HOJO and 2 at Park Place Inn. I'm hoping more rooms will open up at Hojo so my whole stay will be there.

That rocks! :thumbsup2
I will be there right after you, staying in a kids suite for the first time!
EXCITED!

Called this morning and finally made our PS arrangements for Carnation Cafe, Minnie's and Ariel's for our trip in mid-September. I was able to get my first choice of times for all of our dates--hopefully that is indicative of low crowd levels!

I talked my sister and brother-in-law and their kids into joining us during our trip in Sept. They'll be there Sept 14-19 and will be staying at the Fairfield Inn.

My niece (3 years old) is obsessed with the princesses and is always pretending to be one...her imagination is hilarious! This will be the first time she's ever been to DL, seeing her reaction is going to be priceless...this trip is going to be so much fun!

The Disneyland Calendar now shows fireworks for most of September! Every weekend except for 9/10-12.

The shows for September (so far) look likes this:
9/1-9/6 - Magical
9/10-9/12 - No shows scheduled
9/17-9/19 - Remember...Dreams Come True
9/24 - 9/25 - Remember...Dreams Come True

I guess there's no longer a need for me to set off bottle rockets while riding Dumbo. :thumbsup2

Well, it's finally official. My parents said they would kick in the extra we need for plane tickets because they want to meet us there! So, it will be my family of 5 and my parents Sept. 22-26, staying at the Best Western Park Place Inn. We are going to try and surprise the kids. Oh, I hope this works!

Does anyone know what the cost is for breakfast at the character meal held in PPH? The only thing I get off the website is a range, but I didn't know if the low end was for kids and the high end for adults or if there was a different price for breakfast or lunch kind of thing.

Also, we'll be taking the Disneyland Magical Express. I have 3 kids who will be 7, 4, and 17 months when we go. They have a child rate, but do I need to pay for the 17 month old? I can't find where it says what they are considering a child.

Thanks so much for the help!

I booked a nonrefundable room at the Hyatt for Sept 12th. And now I can't go. :sad1: SHOOOT!

Oh my gosh, that is so horrible for you!!! Good luck, in case there is anything they will do for you with such advance notice that you are able to provide to them. Did you book it through the Hyatt or through another travel website?

Yeah I called, but no luck. I booked through Expedia. But that's the risk you take with "nonrefundable", I thought it was a sure thing, but oh well.

Our two year old was free back in 2008 because he was under the magic age of three. HTH!

sooooo excited! Three more weeks (20 days exactly) till we hit DL soil and prepare for the Half!!! :cool1:
