September 2009 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Canceled

Would love Cellier and Coral Reef for 4pp around 6pm for any nights between Sept 3rd to 6th. I know quite crazy but worth a try. Just booked our trip 2 days ago. I have the following to trade:
Chef de France: Sept 3 at 6pm
The Wave: Sept 5 at 6pm
Tutto Italiano: Sept 6 at 6pm

Going to cancel (in a few minutes) Sept. 19th, Brown Derby, party of 4, at 6:25 DHS closes at 7 that night. (Sat.)

DD9 has changed her mind again about where she wants her birthday meal. After looking at the menu again, there's nothing she would want. Not on the kid's or adult's (She'll be 10 and considered an adult then). She said "don't they even have a kid's cheeseburger?" Nope, they don't

I will be canceling one of the following reservations, need to check with family first. I just got a Coral Reef res tonight but the family would have to split tables. One way or the other we will be canceling one tomorrow.

9/13 Coral Reef 6A/1C 5:45 (split table 4 and 3 or 5 and 2...they couldn't say)

I am helping out a friend who is new to Disney.They know nothing and her daughters birthday is Friday the 25th. They have NO dining res as of now. I tried calling for them and got no where on the phone and no where online so I am turning to my loyal dissers becuase we always come through.
the dates are sept 22-26
right now I am looking for anything breakfast, lunch or dinner
they would like to do at least one character anything (but Jo Jo)
if anyone is canceling anything please please email me what you have

I have talked to the dining dept and they think now that people can do them online that they are double and tripple booking. When I tell you I could not get a single thing for the week fo the 22 nothing we were on the phone for an hour. She said how weird it was. Disney is not sold out there is no way people should not be able to get anything form 7am -9pm anywhere. but its happening

We booked our vaca for 9/26-10/5 just last week and the rep who booked us had told us we would have no issue making the ADR's a month in advance I have spent every free moment the past week trying to book places to eat...and I think that's the only reason I have been successful. I have seriously sat on the website refreshing for 3-4 hours at a time after my kids have gone to sleep. Whenever something pops up I get so excited even if I don't even know a thing about the restaurant LOL. Keep trying, something will come up. I have noticed lunches seem to be the easiest to get so far. Good luck!!

Too bad I didn't see this thread sooner. I had to cancel a bunch of ADR's in September. I'd have loved to pass along 'Ohana, Le Cellier, etc.

I am optimistic that I will be able to get this family help though DIS, Heck DIS was the reason we got hannah montana tickets 2 yrs ago to her first sold out tour so DISERS come through on everything LOL

I will keep trying for her but this is the first time I have ever tried to make dining and came back with like nothing at no times. scary. Normally you get some openings at some places or times you may not want . I am worried the dining agent was even shocked. we spent and hour on the phone and not one res. This is the 2nd time I have called for her.

If it was for me I would be ok I know what times to go and wait on a walk up (especially since I believe a lot of this is due to double and tripple booking) but my friend is a single mom its her first time, her kids first flight even and she does not know how to even get around down there yet to do that. I want her to feel secure when she goes.
The trip is she gets in the night of 21 so.........................Sept 22-27 they leave the 28 morning for 2 but I will take your res's for more people if you have more in your party.
if anyone can help me for this first trip and birthday trip for this little girl I would so love it
Need res's from 22-27 and The childs birthday is the 25th

Honestly, I've been treaking for weeks. I'll share my game plan and it seems to be working.

***Check at 6 am online than again at 8am on the phone. PPl cancel during the night plus first thing in the morning. I was able to find better times for character meals doing this. But again, I checked everyday.

***Dine during off times. Search 1:00-4:00

***If there's two ppl, seach for 3 then for 4 ppl. I've had nothing show up on 3 ppl but a couple show up for 4 for the exact same time and restaurant.

***Use the online system from 9-10pm EST. I've scored many better times then as ppl are tweaking in the evening after work and canceling what they don't need.

Just now it is showing in the 1:00 slot....

9/23, whispering canyon cafe, LTT, Tony's...
9/24 LTT, Wave, Plaza, Akerhaus
9/25 Sanaa, wave, WCC, Tutto Italia

If you have a few free minutes a couple times a day, just pop online and do a quick search. I bet I check 5 times a day and still tweaking for those better times.

Sorry I can't help you BUT the week of Sept 21st - Oct 1, 2009 seem to be the busiest by far. I think it may be because of both free dining and the fact that those are the week's that Epcot has it's Food and Wine Festival starting.

Curious to see how hard dining will be for those who book the newly announced Free Dining package in Nov/Dec of this year!

it is just for 2 people but I have tried 4 and such

I have a 5pm dinner 9/26 at Garden Grove (in the Swan) for 2 ppl - it is a character meal, usually Goofy and Pluto. Let me know if you want it!

Also, will trade a 3:10pm afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian - 2 ppl, for a 1900PF breakfast on 9/27 anytime, or CM anytime lunch or dinner 9/26 or breakfast or lunch 9/27 OR a CRT anytime 9/26 late breakfast, lunch or dinner, or 9/27 breakfast, lunch or early dinner.

It will be fascinating to hear reports back from the restaurants once we enter the time frame for which people were first able to make online ADR's. I check in on 9/26, and I think the online system opened up a week or 2 before my ADR date. I think by mid-September we'll see if that free access has resulted in empty tables in the parks.

Ok, so yeah, much easier to get a reservation for 4. Lol.

Only question is, since I have to pay up front, do I just have to suck it up and pay for 2 uneaten meals, or can I like... cancel 2 of the 4 people 1 day out?
