September 2008 - Who's going?

Is it just me, or is time moving at snail speed? First we have to wait until April, to see if "Free Dining" will be offered. Then we have to wait until Sept. to actually go.

How can it only be February?

Anybody else feeling my pain?

YES!!! :crazy2: I'm trying to break it down into little "chunks" of time. The next thing I'm waiting for is April: will there or won't there be Free Dining....inquiring minds want to know!:rotfl: After that it'll be paying the trip off, in the early summer, and then gathering supplies and goodies for the trip (pins for trading, pressed penny books, creating special t-shirts for everyone...) If I can keep myself busy with various aspects of the trip, it helps pass the time. But right now it's just cold and boring and it feels like spring will never arrive!

Oh, I find that reading different guide books helps a lot, too! I have the PassPorter, and just bought a new book from Amazon that I'd never seen before (how is that possible?!!). It's full of color photos and looks like a lot of fun. I don't currently have, but do enjoy, the Unofficial Guide and Birnbaum's Official Guide. It's just fun to read about the parks and their lands/areas!

I too pass the time by in "chunks" :thumbsup2

I'm currently waiting until March to see when the park hours will be announced so I can make my ADR plan. Once I do that, I'll be waiting until March 17th to make my actual ADR's. Then on to waiting to see if the free dining is offered again. We booked the bounceback program last year but want to add on two days and also my InLaws want to come as well. So, on to waiting for April.

Time is for sure moving at snail speed!

:lmao: :lmao: I'm not even the thread starter and I have the most posts here. Now that tells ya something, huh? :rolleyes1

:lmao:

Count us in. Sept 6 thru Sept 12. DH, me, DD/DGS/DSIL, DS/DDIL.
Can't wait for the first "family" trip in a few years.

Ooh!...Me too!! I have a tentative plan penciled into my PassPorter, but since we're not park-hopping this time, I want to make sure I'm at certain parks on certain days.

haha! Glad I'm not the only one obsessing over park schedules. I'm planning my ADR's around the EMH's. And I also want to eat at LTT close to park closing again so we can take pictures of the empty park as we walk out. That was so great last year.

I'll be there!!! August 30 - Sept 6. I am so excited - when I called to make my hotel reservations (split stay between WL & BC), i found out I had a 40% hotel room offer so I was able to add an extra day. :woohoo: i also convinced one of my best friends to come along for the first 4 days. yay excitement!

Nichole,
If they offer free dining, and you are able to rebook with the free dining, you cannot use any room discount (need to pay rack rate for the room portion), so if you were lucky enough to get a room discount, you have to calculate which saves you more money.

interesting, i didn't know that! so if they come out with free dining and i want to add it, i will lose my 40% off room? in that case, i'll stick with my cheapo room rate ::yes:: i have a split stay so i would have had to pay extra to make it a package anyway (a 4-day park hopper and a 3-day park hopper, instead of a 7-day park hopper for the whole trip)

:dance3: Sept 26-Oct 3:banana:

We head to disney for our second trip of the year Sept 11-17 at CR. We booked bounceback with half off deluxe dining! Can't wait. My DF and I have a sheet of everywhere we want to make our ADR and are anxiously awaiting March 11 :)

We're hopping on the PARTY BUS!!!:cool1: :yay: :dance3: We will be taking our first cruise leaving on Sept 7th for the 5day/4night Wonder, but just did a bounceback and will spend Sept 5th and 6th at POR just to get excited and start out trip out right!!! WOOOOHOOOOO......let the countdown (and the money saving) begin friends.....:rotfl:

We are jumping on the September 2008 WDW Train!!!! :cool1: We will be there Sept. 14-24. We are staying at POR. It will be our first time staying at this resort and we are way excited about that!! The last two times we've stayed at CBR. My two year old is already excited about WDW that he asked me if we could leave tomorrow! I told him only if mommy wins the lottery can we go tomorrow! We're keeping our fingers crossed on the lottery thing!;)
