September 2007 Trip! Free dining and free upgrade!

We counted down from 140 days! I cant believe its over

The free dining offer got us! Then we were e-mailed a free upgrade to SSR!

Day 1 - Take off day!

We drove from Cleveland to Detroit to save hundreds of dollars on our flights. For the four of us is was $675.00.

After a little wait we are on ME!

Both boys are sick with ear infections, sore throat and stuffy noses!
We took them to the doc the day we left and they were put on antibiotics.
Out Christmas trip DS (5) got an ear infection NYE. He has tubes but the ear aches are starting again.

We make it to SSR. Its HUGE!

My in-laws are there to meet us. We check in and and get a ride to our room.

DH got a free upgrade in his email to a 1 bdrm. When we checked in we got another upgrade to a 2 bdrm!

The free dining package came out a few months ago. It's been offered by Disney the past few years. You have to book a package within certain dates (most of September) and booked by a certain date.

They offered it last April for September. This is what got us to book. We were not planning on going.

Our2Girls&Disney, tinawv, sandybobandy and 50 years Too!,
We did get very lucky with the upgrades. Disney bummped a bunch of people at the All-Stars up to SSR or OKW so they could book more people at the All-Stars.

SSR is a beautiful resort. We felt it was to big. We like staying at the ASMU right by the pool and food court. The buses were great! The suite was very roomy. We stayed at Congress right by a very empty pool and spa!

Our room, Yes thats a king size bed!

This is the bath off the master bdrm. A closet with a large safe. Then theres another door to the shower and another sink. Off the room with the shower is the toilet.

Right outside the bathroom is a closet with a washer and dryer.

The boys had 2 double beds, tv, very large closets and 2 chairs and a table in there room.

We were planing on going to DQ. But decided to goto MGM.
We got a fastpass for RNRC. Then found a spot for the parade.
Both my DSs and I are into the pins. We spent alot of time looking at pins
under the hat. The boys love trading! It was there B-Days and some CM
gave them free pins. They loved wearing the "Its My Birthday Pins"

MIL said she was only going to buy 1 pin...LMAO... suuure Mom!
We were going to skip MGM all together. But then we decided we couldnt do that. So we had a half day at MGM.

Got a FP for RNRC
Saw the parade
Muppets - cus it was sooooo HOT and they have a/c!
Ate at Rosies All American Cafe - Not the best Disney food.
Alot of pin shopping
The off to ride RNRC - the main reason we decided to go to MGM at all.

Then we were off to shower and get ready for dinner at our favorite 'Ohanas!

Day 2 - off to TL

We just love the wave pool!

Will still have 4 passes each left on our passes!
We have to go back sometime...oh darn! lol

We went for 6 nights. I like to go for at least 10 when I can.

We originally were booked at ASMU

2 adults, 2 children (5) and (11)
ASMU 6 nights
4 - 3 day passes with waterpark/DQ/PI option
Free dining

Total: $1,557.47

Then we got the e-mail for the SSR upgrade.

SSR 2 bdrm villa 6 nights
4 - 3 day passes with waterpark/DQ/PI option
Free dining

Total: $4,817.64

SAVED: $3,260.17

We would of NEVER paid that much to stay at Disney. Its a beautiful resort! If we were going to pay these prices we would become DVC members. One day we will.

Day - 3 Magic Kingdom!

We got a late start and didnt get to do to much at MK. We have been there more times than I can count.

I wanted to ride POTC so we did that first. LOVE IT!!!! Grabbed FPs to SM.
MK was open late that night. It was to hot for us so we headed back to SSR to swim.
