Just wondering if any of you plan on going to WDW in September this year? If so, what are your plans? We're going on the 10th to 24th and are staying at the All-Star Resorts. This is our longest trip ever so we're looking forward to touring the parks at a much more relaxed rate. We're used to commando style so this is a real treat!

We are going September 12-15 without our kids. We will be at All Star Music with the great code rate. Those APs have cost us more money than they have saved us.

we'll be there sept 9-15 at the ASMu..we'll be getting married while we're there and spending the rest of our honeymoon there! can't wait!!! :Pinkbounc

Congratulations!! Wow, how exciting to be getting married in WDW! Maybe I'll see you when you're there! I wish you many years of happiness!!

thank you!! we are getting married in orlando, but not at WDW...:(

we've found a little chapel in the kissimmee area instead...just couldn't afford to do the big disney wedding this time around...that's ok..he's promised me that we'll renew our vows sometime in the future at WDW!!!

No doubt you'll still have a wonderful time! Actually, we went to WDW on our honeymoon 4yrs ago and this September is our first trip, staying onsite, since then! I love your idea of renewing your vows there. Now my wheels are turning too! :) Will you and your new husband wear those mickey and minnie wedding ears while on your honeymoon?? hee hee I couldn't bring myself to do it! I guess we're a little shy! ;) Have a ball!!

believe it or not, it's all HIS idea to wear the ears!! he's also designing t-shirts for us to wear...they'll be matching shirts with various disney stuff on them and refer to the fact that we are "just married" or bride and groom or something...ALL HIS IDEA!! i swear!!!

:Pinkbounc

hee hee! That's so sweet! I'll be sure to say hi if I see you! You may be hard to miss! ;) And to think.......my dh wouldn't even wear the ears! ;)

Congratulations!! If we see you there we will be sure to congratulate you in person.

Chess - we'll be buying AP's for the first time on this trip. We were really planning on only using them on this trip, but from your experience, is there a REALLY powerful drive to go back for another trip within the year???? We just bought a house so our finances wouldn't like that very much!! Thanks! :bounce: :bounce:

Yes, the drive is really powerful. We bought ours in Oct. for a 4 day adults only trip knowing we had to take the kids in Feb. 2002 as a bribe for letting us go by ourselves. Then my husband said since we have the APs, lets take the kids in Sept. 2002 but my oldest DD (6) did not want to miss school so we took them in June 2002. To make a long story short my DH said we have to use those passes one more time and ASMu room rates of $49 for Marylanders and Southwest of $98 roundtrip (not including tax on either) made the trip not much more expensive than if we had gone to the beach around here. So off we go again. I do know that we will not buy APs every year but when we do we will try to get a second visit out of them and then skipping a year. Oh, we did not buy the kids AP's which meant their two trips were just as expensive as our 4 trips for passes. We did UPH for the Feb. trip of 4 days and then 7 day PHP. I'm afarid to really figure out what the difference was.

Thanks Cindy. Oh oh! I can imagine how much you and DH wanted to go back! I just know that I'll want to make use of another trip. The problem is that we're Canadian and the exchange rate is really nasty!! I guess we'll just have to play it by ear. You just can't beat the feeling of enter the MK and seeing mainstreet and the castle in the distance! Heavenly! Have a great trip!

We are going September 17-20, staying at the Polynesian Resort. Can't wait. Flying in (I hate that part) I'm guessing the PR has shuttle service to/from Orlando International airport so that we can avoid renting a car. Any clues or comments.... Also, wondering about the September weather....still steamin?

Hi bprincess! This will be our 3rd September trip. We expect very hot temperatures with a rain shower everyday (usually mid afternoon) but then it clears up at night. That's the norm during that time of year. We're not renting a car either and are taking the Mears shuttle (I think it's something like $30 per person, round trip - so around $60 total for 2 people). There's limo services too, but we've found Mears to be cheapest. See you there! ;)

Hi CJK and Thanks for the update. I'm reallly looking forward to our great escape no matter how short our stay will be. Hope you have the best of times during your Dis stay.

What is MEARS shuttle? We normally drive down and stay on property using disney transp. until it's time to leave all the magic behind once again :( It can be a sad time, but we have a 'golden rule' on the way home from any trip, we make new plans for our next trip. By God's grace...we'll be on the road again soon. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Check out their website at www.mearstransportation.com

They pick you up in a van type vehicle usually with 6 or so other people (depending on demand). There are services out there that are private and only take you directly to your hotel, but they're more costly. If money is a factor, I recommend Mears.

I know exactly what you mean about that feeling you get when it's time to leave. I like your remedy of planning a new trip!

Any other questions, just ask! I could "talk Disney" forever! ;)
