Hi guys!

Marking my place here. This will be our first time on DCL and we are SOOOOO excited! Traveling will be myself, DH, DD 13, DD 11, DD 10, and DD 6.

We are from MD and are taking the AutoTrain down. Any on have experience or tips? Do you think I should spring for the "first off" car unloading on the way down to get to the port faster?

This family of four, me/mom, and my 3 boys: Daddy, Christopher, & Daniel, are so excited!!! This is our first Disney cruise and my first time on DisBoards. What do I need to know to make this a most memorable trip for my boys?!?!

Awesome!!! It is our first time too but I have been learning a lot by reading the general tip threads in the DCL forum. I am planning to look over the Navigators every day and try to keep tabs on events my girls will be interested in.

But overall, my vacation planning strategy is research and plan to death ahead of time then go with the flow on the trip. (If that makes any sense) That way I already know what we want to do while the crowd is still figuring it out. When snags arise ( as they always do) I already know what options are available and can pretty easily adjust.

Not sure what ages your boys are but some fun things may be: Pirates League, Midshipmen Detective Agency and

....and the arcade. Maybe bring some ice cream toppings and the boys can create sundaes? From what I understand the ice cream is free but there are no toppings.

Whatever you end up doing, rest assured we are all going to have an awesome time!!!

Just found this forum, 10 days out and we are excited. Is it too late to join in any of the fish extenders that i have been hearing about? This will be our first DCL cruise and first cruise since we have had kids (4 yo Girl and 2 yo Boy)

Home stretch here!! Getting so excited....has anyone seen a weather report for our trip yet? Trying to decide on last few items to pack. I hear they give out ponchos if the weather is wet on port days, can anyone confirm??

I have read Disney has given ponchos to people on Disney booked excursions on Alaskan cruises. I have not heard about them giving ponchos out on any Caribbean cruises. I am packing our ponchos because we are going to the MNSSHP on the 19th. there is a chance of rain that day too.

My husband and I are going to be on this cruise too! We just got married in March at Disney! Cannot wait to cruise, I was looking at cruises for next year already!
