Worse thing that happened was that a friend of mine and my boss was let go after 32 years with the company. Not because of work performance. Just because it was a financial decision. His replacement makes half as much. Less benis too.

That really stinks!! Not the vodka and Jazz part... the other stuff. Companies have no loyalty to workers anymore. It's all about the $$$$ no matter who it hurts. I hope they milk the company for all the unemployment benefits they can get!

Another friend retired in May to battle prostate cancer. Not many of us "old" guys left.
So, I am definitely ready for this cruise. Like DPD says, "I Wanna Do It All"
I can sleep when I get home.

Sorry to hear about your friend and boss. I hope they both got good severance packages... man, the loss of the retirement benefits from the company alone could be devasting. I hope everything turns out well for them both.
