We are planning a trip 9/15-9/19. We have 4 day hoppers and we'll be in the parks the afternoon of 9/15, all day 9/16 and 9/17 and all day on 9/19. I just saw that that there will be the Oogie Boogie Bash on two of our days (Thurs and Sun) which threw off my plans. I ended up switching my starting park days to CA Adventure on the days of the bash so that we can do CA Adventure in the morning and then hop to Disneyland for the afternoon/evening. I've never been during parties, how does that affect crowds? Is it super crowded in Disneyland after 6 pm when CA Adventure closes or is it not really that noticeable? It's also Gay Days for two of my days there too, which we haven't seen. I've heard it brings huge crowds. Hoping with the reservation system that it won't be too crazy. Without fastpass, I'm worried about long lines. Would love to hear from anyone who has experienced either of these events and how they affect crowds. Any good strategies to get on the big rides without lines- early morning, late night, what's best?

I'm going these same days! I didn't realize when I booked it that OBB would be happening one of my DCA days, and I didn't realize it's Gay Days too! That'll be fun! Curious to see what it does to crowds.
