Not good. After a needle biopsy I got this Dr. to admit that he is quite certain it is cancer. He said it looks a lot like lymphoma. He is hoping that it is lymphoma because it responds well to chemo in a lot of patients. If it isn't lymphoma he said that it will be worse. You know you are in trouble when the Dr. is hoping for a certain type of cancer. Anyway, I know he wasn't supposed to say anything and he is hoping he won't get in trouble. I sure won't tell. I am just grateful to know so we have time to adjust to situation and can listen with clearer heads when the Dr. calls to discuss what is next. We are in for a rough road. I just hope it is treatable and not too late as Harry has been having symptoms for a while now. Poor guy is glad it is him and not me, our kids, or grandkids. He is especially worried sick about the grandkids. As for himself, what bothers him most is the possibility of losing his hair. I must admit that if it were me that I would feel the same way. Silly huh?
I know Harry will be going for many tests to see how far this has progressed and what stage it is. He still says we are going on this cruise. I hope so, but really don't see it working out at this point. I will let everyone know what we find out. We are supposed to get the results of the biopsy next Friday, the day after our 38th wedding anniversary.![]()
Hope everyone else is doing well!
Still hoping to see everyone in Sept.

Oops, almost forgot. Going to see Kid Rock and Lynryd Skynyrd tonight. Some of you might remember that I was really upset to miss the Kid Rock concert when we were on the repo. And Stacy will appreciate this...my son is taking me to the Metallica concert in October. It was my Mother's Day and Birthday gift.
Yep, grandma has a darkside!

Ok I'm sorry but this made meI think you should give folks through the weekend.....
Wish I could remember what I signed up for!
Monica...how's the lanyard team building going? Do I need to strong arm some more members?
Still gotta get those blasted Mickey Ears made. HEY! I'll take them up to Prescott with me and do a craft project! ......or....maybe not......
.
No worries - I still have Paul and Jill's surprise sign to do and there is one more I'm thinking about making for a daily "change" in our door signs...Oh and Peg.....we aren't quite done with door signs yet. Still have to do the DCL nametags as soon as Tom gets them to me (I'm next on the list).
I can do them at my office though.
.
Donna - you both will be in our prayers - I am so sorry for this news - I am happy you are going to the concerts -giving your mind / body/ soul a break with music is awesome! I made it over to this new thread....
Ian I have a question. I already did the survey but I'm considering an additional item to participate in, so can I complete another survey adding just that new item?
You can take the complete survey over again, and I'll deal with the dupes on the back end.
I use the dollar bills for tipping room service because then I can make sure that the person gets the tip.
I also think of the tip holistically and my tipping starts at the airport here in Chicago. I always do curbside check in whenever possible, because I think they are a little more lenient regarding weight and size (flying SW) than they are in the concourse.
There is also other tipping along the way cabs, bellmen, etc. So, it seems like I always need singles.

IAN can you forward me the FE info too? Thanks!
Don't forget tipping for excursions. If we're on a bus or a boat, we always tip when we get off. Sometimes on boats we'll buy tee shirts too. Always good to have some singles and extra cash around for excursions.

Too true. It's embarrassing to not have the singles when you need them. I know we use them for tipping the excursions, curbside check-in, the bellman at the resort and in-cabin room service.
Worst case is I have a lot of singles left over after the cruise. I find that the bank or stores has no objections to taking them.
