Where do you see it? Just on TWC??

Nicole

watched twc tropical update, and they said that it doesn't look favorable for storms to be forming right now, but if you go to the national hurricane center, there is a new wave that they say has a good chance of building up - hopefully it will go northwest -

not that watching it will help, and probably will just freak me out :scared1:

but what is the link you are looking at this stuff on? Can I see it online rather than on tv?

I went to TWC online and went to the Tropical Update on the right hand side. It's small.....

Then I looked down the article and near the bottom it talks about the system coming off the coast of Africa with thunderstorms.

Pixie Dust to make it fly fly away!!!!!!!!!

Nicole

the little video? I saw that but I didn't hear them talk about africa, I'll try it again

:wizard: here's our PD

have you looked at it tonight? doesn't look as good:mad:

I noticed, but I'm taking the approach that it's a LONG way away yet.....that's my story and I'm stickin to it!

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
800 PM EDT SUN SEP 6 2009

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

A STRONG TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED ABOUT 300 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE
CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS PRODUCING NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
CONDITIONS APPEAR FAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM...AND A
TROPICAL DEPRESSION COULD FORM DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS IT
MOVES WESTWARD OR WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT AROUND 15 MPH. THERE IS A
MEDIUM CHANCE...30 TO 50 PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A
TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.

So much for packing today. I spent an hour and a half at Walmart looking for an over the door shoe holder (amongst other things) for our bathroom onboard. :headache: No luck. Oh well. I DO have to find Downy Wrinkle Release. Can you believe I couldn't find either at Walmart? Just that kind of day!

We did get a lot of laundry done. (And by we, I mean DH!) I got out the baby's clothes, but didn't quite get it into a suitcase yet!

I printed and cut out cruise magnets! It's all the important stuff I like to get out of the way first!

Well, tomorrow I WILL pack! I have to! I work 13+ hours on Tuesday and have to get up at 3am on Wednesday to leave!

Looks like there will be a lot of us at VWL before the cruise!

Today is our big packing/organizing day. I did receive the kids dress clothes in the mail yesterday. Whew! The boys enjoyed trying on their five piece suits.

Mickey mouse ears and pirate hats are being worn almost nonstop around here! We're all getting very excited!

OK, you love the ears and hats, but what are the kids doing?

Good morning Totolians...

Here's the current update on Atlantic weather conditions. This system sounds more and more like it will turn into a storm in the next day or two. Let's hope it stays well clear of our path.

You can follow it here. I think they update it every 6-8 hours.

Safe travels everyone.

LOCALLY HEAVY SHOWERS AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS ARE LIKELY OVER THE SOUTHERN CAPE VERDE ISLANDS TODAY. THERE IS A HIGH CHANCE... GREATER THAN 50 PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS. ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

Yes, we are here the whole week. If you think you see us...don't be afraid to say "HI". (photos on page one)

We will do that!!! Can't wait for Thursday...its been a busy weekend with friends in from out of town, 2 weddings, a 1st bday and a BBQ at our house this afternoon...2 days of work left for me and 3 days for Tim...Then off to Midway we go!

I'll send DH back today. I can't allow Walmart to suck another hour of my time today. Thanks for the tip!

I remember getting mine from Target. Let me know if you can't find one. I can look in Target for you - we are already in Kissimmee and will be going back to target a few more times before we board the ship. It was around $10-12

if you look on weather underground - all of the models show it going northwest - very north - like not even close to US - keeping fingers crossed, but it looks like we will have good weather :cool1:

in the middle of packing, and just thought that i would check in - have the baby packed - gave DH his packing list, and now am working on myself - unfortunately, alot of our clothes are at the dry cleaners, so they will have to wait - i hate that - just want to get it all done at one time - safe travels to all, and hi to all that are at the world right now - back to the packing
