September 10, 2005 - Western Cruise!

Well everybody, I'll probably only have time to check the boards a couple more times before leaving Saturday morning. So while everybody's still home, I just wanted to wish you all a safe trip! See you all soon! Looking forward to meeting everybody! :) Lets all blow harder and try to get Ophelia's butt in gear and get her moving out of there!

Well, folks, it looks like this will be my last posting before we set sail!!!! We are off to Orlando in just a few hours! If I hear anything about the weather, I'll call Donnica and have her update you. Everyone, have a safe trip! See you Saturday at 5:15! Holly, remember, consider yourself adopted! Gotta go pack. (Yes, pack! Haven't finished! Would you believe it?!?)

Do not worry cousin Stina, I have flung enough pixie dust around to assure a wonderful trip for you both.

You guys might already know this, but you can call 1-800-WDW-CRUIse and hear a recording that will update you on whether the Magic gets changed to Port Everglades on Saturday. I'm betting that it will, looks like Ophelia is not moving north like they thought.

Thanks so much Judy! That's good info to have. I'm sure I'll be calling it towards the end of my work day tomorrow. I'm hoping that as long as I'm able to fly into Orlando Saturday morning, since I already have the DCL transfers, they'll get us to where we need to go.

Lets hope we all get there!

We're flying in tomorrow night, so I am hoping that goes OK. We have a limo taking us Saturday morning from Orlando to Port Canaveral, so I guess we will keep those plans, and then let Disney bus us from Port Canaveral to Port Everglades, if necessary. I guess we will know for sure about midday tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you nice people on the ship. I'm hoping once we get around the tip of FL, it will be smooth sailing all the way.

Judy

Howdy all!

I'm tired but I think I'm done. I hope I am because I can't think of anything else. I know for sure I'll forget something though. Perhaps I should take shower now and let my brain think in there of what I might have forgetten. I did the head to toe thing of what I need for each area. LOL Then documents, boarding passes, ID blah blah.

Half day at work tomorrow and I'm headin out! I have to ride to work with a guy from work since I am going from there. This guy never shuts up!!!!!!! The only thing he's good for is when I feel like killing some time in work, then I go ask him some stupid question and he is off and running for a good 20 minutes. I guess everyone has their purpose in life and that is his LOL! :bounce:

ARE WE THERE YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't iron your clothes...they're only going to get wrinkled again anyway....just send then to the onboard laundry for a press only....i did this our 1st day on board, had them all back the next day for less than $30...that covered probably 8 shirts & 4 pairs of pants.....it was great!!!!

Yes Donnica, WE'RE FINALLY THERE! :cheer2: Well, almost! CLOSE ENOUGH! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
It's a good thing too because I was worrying about Tyler wearing out his little pirate costume. pirate: He insisted on wearing it all day yesterday and today. On top of that, he demanded that we be pirates together! :earseek: OK....I'm all for having a blast and getting in the spirit of pirate night, but um....I didn't think this would become an every day outfit! ;) Crazy kid! Oh, and when he was at his dad's house last night, his dad even made an eye patch for the bear he carries everywhere, so we now have another pirate joining us.

Well, I just finished my homework for tomorrow night's class, so all that's left is work tomorrow, then class, then laundry, then pack. Maybe I'll get a couple hours sleep before picking up my little guy from his dad's Saturday morning and we'll be on our way!

See everybody soon! :wave2:

p.s. So much for me saying about 3 posts ago that I was probably done posting! It's just too addictive! ;)

GREAT idea! :teeth: I'm definitely going to do that for our clothes for formal night. Thanks for the tip!

Okay it's 1140 here in ATL. I'm still washing and drying clothes. I stupid dryer is the slowest thing ever. We have a cab coming at 445am to pick us up for the airport. That means I have 5 hours. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.

I sure hope our port doesn't change. I really want to see the disney terminal. But we have a friend in Miami that's we've already spoken with about staying with her friday night just in case.

If your formal night is Sunday, be sure to send those down Sat as SOON as you can; i had to send our formal clothes Sunday a.m. for a sunday return; it was a little more $$ - but not much, and STILL so worth it!!!

Thanks Brenda! Hopefully I'll remember to do that right away. Although, if I continue depriving myself of sleep, I might be in no condition to remember anything! Oh well. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one with a few wrinkles in my clothes. :)

Hey, is anybody bringing their laptop and interested in sharing the cost of wireless internet for the week? We would just have to make sure we don't use it at the same time, but it could work! I have to bring my computer anyway to type up my briefs for class, so I figured I might as well be able to use it for e-mail too.

I will be leaving Roanoke in about 40 minutes, see you guys tomorrow.

It's finally here, It's finally here.

Six hours til flight time!!! <provided there isn't a delay, which I expect there will be>

I kept waking up last night thinking I was forgetting something lol Anyone else always get tht feeling? Good thing I wore my underwear today because that's where my cash was and I WOULD have forgotten it!! LOL See, there IS a good reason to wear underwear LOL Don't worry... I get even WORSE as it gets closer and even worse yet once I'm there! Yeah... I'm really not "all there" LOL That's the first step right? Admitting it LOL

I'm at work doing this LOL I said AT work... not WORKING LOL

Are we there yet????

So what's the deal with Ophelia? I just checked the noaa map and the tracker still shows it moving east away from the coast.

I'm flying in tomorrow a.m. Checked weather.com for both the airport I am flying from (Hartford,CT) and flying to (Orlando) and the weather says clear. So from that I can only assume flights will be ok.

Anyone else heard anything different? Anyone called that 1-800# and got any updates from DCL on port departure?

Little excited aren't we Donnica?! :hyper:

I've been on the opposite end of the spectrum. Worried sick about Ophelia and what she's gonna do next. MOVE IT ALREADY B*TCH!

I've been excited for months about this cruise but this stupid storm has got me down. I so wanna sail out of PC tommorrow. Hopefully DCL will keep it that way.

Flying out of BUF in 7 hours. Yea baby!

Oh man I can use a drink!

Gotta love my DH! His comment about Ophelia yesterday was "I've always wanted to sail out with 20 foot waves!" The scary part was, he's serious. I think he's a little deranged myself. He used to crew on a racing sailboat - the best winds up here occur in the winter, and he's been out on the sound racing in gale force winds while I stay home and curl up under blankets. ;)

See all y'all soon!

Karen

Hi all~

Just called the DCL 800#, the recording says as of right now no change of port but they are monitoring it and to call later today to check in again.

Oh man! The suspense is killing me!
