with all taxes and fees included. ( I just checked my trip information from last year.)

This year, the best that I have found is $225 (including everything) for a Standard SUV for a week at Alamo. I had to go a little bigger since we will have 2 of our DDs with us this year and will have lots more luggage, I'm sure.

I am hoping that I can get this price down a bit. I am usually looking at these kinds of prices for a minivan rental.

last december, we payed $116 total for an equinox. I can't find anything comparable yet for this October, but I'll keep trying!!

I've had the same experience.

I paid $172 for a full size SUV (including tax) for 8 days in May 2006 from Alamo.

For our December trip the cheapest I can find is $283. I'm spoiled by low rates in the past and refuse to pay that much.

We're seriously considering dropping the rental car this trip and just using DME. I'm a little nervous because in 11 trips over the last 6 years we have rented a car every time. But part of me is looking forward to not having the hassle of the luggage pickup and dealing with driving and parking.
