Well, I bought a new camera, it was my first camera that I've ever had to plug in to charge, my previous ones had batteries. Needless to say, I forgot my charger!
, which means, no pics! We went with other family members so we at least will have a decent photo album!
We had free dining and we upgraded both kids to the adult dining plan.
PO Riverside Food Court: Create your own salad and pasta were 2 favourites here. Plenty of food. I polished off my whole salad. Pizza, chicken nuggets and fries, and burger were also solid favourites. Had the turkey dinner one night, I found the turkey salty, but the rest of the meal was fine. I ordered gluten free waffles one am, the chef was awesome, and it didn't take long.
Other Counter Services: The only stand-outs I can think of are WPE and Earl. My kids & DH loved the pasta and pizza at WPE and I loved the salads.
Jiko: I have discovered I am just not a fan of African inspired food. 3 of us (we had a party of 10)ordered the ribs and only 1 of us liked them. Nothing to do with the restaurant at all. BUT, the duck was horrible. It was really tough and chewy. DH was sooo disappointed, he loves duck. 3 of our party ordered it, and all 3 orders were really tough. It was cooked as they suggested, so it's not like it was requested to be cooked med or anything. My Mom had the filet and she loved it. The kids steak and chicken were yummy and we had the boar as an appetizer and DH LOVED it! He wished he got it for his main. I got the creme brûlée for desert, the best of the trip!
Crystal Palace: This was such a surprise! It was a last minute booking for dinner. I would say one of my favourite meals of the trip. I was totally expecting it to suck!
Artist Point: Yummy! I had the filet with mushrooms and mashed potatoes& creme brûlée , DH had this salad to start "Mixed Field Greens Salad - with cherries, sunflower seed granola, smokey blue cheese and Ice Wine vinaigrette $11.00" , vegetable lasagne, & cobbler for dessert.
Now that salad, kinda sounds boring, if you're into salads, don't you think?? OMG, it was awesome!! The flavours rocked!!!! "dabomb.com" haha!
Kids went to kids club.
It was a nice relaxing evening with great food.
The 50's - My son had 2 hotdogs and grapes
, yeah, he's not a big fry guy, on the adult plan. The fried chicken was awesome, the chicken pot pie, flavourless. My Mom had the chicken caesar salad, the dressing was awesome! More of a vinegarette style. My son wouldn't touch the smores because the chocolate wasn't real
, but DD loved the smores.
We had Tom as our server and he was great!! I would go back just for the fun.
Chef Mickey's Yes, the dreaded Chef Mickey's for dinner. Our kids request it every trip, and it's their vacation too! We normally enjoy it, a solid meal. This time I found it just sucked. The kids liked it though. We still didn't leave hungry.
Tusker House Breakfast Delicious!!! OMG, the chef made me the best gluten free waffles on the planet! They were light, fluffy and crispy, mmm! He also made my plate look pretty with an "apple bird" , berries and grapes.
Teppan Edo Another favorite! We just love the food here! Simple and delicious! Our cook wasn't too entertaining, but that's OK.
Karmel Kuche We spent $40 on junk food here , LOL! Carmel corn, carmel apple, carmel pecan bar, carmel strawberries, carmel cookie, & salted carmel with dark chocolate. mmmm, it was all yummy!!
