This past year my mom and I went to F&W for the first time and LOVED it. We loved it so much that we just decided that we want to go back next year. Now since my mom teaches, our dates are limited, and we have narrowed it down to either the 3rd week of September or the 2nd week of November.

We were leaning towards November for hopefully cooler weather, but we would only be able to go for 3 days rather than 5 if we go in September. We are so torn, what would others recommend???

It is most likely going to still be hot and rainy that time in Sept. I was there the first week F&W opened this year, around the 20th and it was so hot even this Georgia girl was having problems. It is still going to be warm in November but there is a possibility it will be cooler and probably a little dryer. Personally, I prefer the hotter but that's just me.

Are you talking of Veteran's Day week? That will potentially be more crowded than Sept. Jersey week is in Nov also (not sure which week). It's a trade off with the weather issues loves to dive mentioned.

We were in Orlando mid-Sept this year and it was very hot, with thunderstorms one evening. I was back Nov 13 (Sunday) at F&W and it was quite crowded but the food lines weren't bad. MK the next day was crowded also.

November has better weather but Veteran's Day weekend will be crowded. We went this year and Friday was packed all day but we got to try pretty much everything we wanted. We arrived at noon and left around 7 or so. As you found out, MK was crowded that weekend as well.

September is a cheaper time to visit than November, and 5 days are better than 3. However, the heat and humidity in September would have me choose November. You might even be able to attend one of the first Christmas parties at the MK.

We have been the last week of September and the week before Thanksgiving. Crowd levels were comparable in our experience. September was very warm and humid (90+ every day) and November weather has been hit or miss (we've been a few times in November). One year, a cold front came through and highs were in the 50s and 60s. Another time it was in the 70s. Swimming in November has been a 50/50 chance for us. Another noticeable difference for us was daylight savings - it got darker much earlier in November.

I just went this past November. The weather was cool in the mornings (around 62), but then by 10:00am it was 80. It did not rain and we were able to sit at the pool all of the five days we were there. We considered the weather quite warm and even went in the pool a few times. The one thing we did not plan for was the cooler nights. It was pretty cold 4 of the 5 nights we were there. I wish I had brought jeans and a jacket or hoody to wear. We still had a wonderful time, but something to keep in mind. I was also there Jersey week/Veterans Day weekend and it was very crowded. Like 45 minute wait for Small World crowded so that is something to keep in mind. And it depends on whether you want to see the Christmas decorations as those are all up in November (besides Epcot and some of the resorts). Either way, I am sure you will have a great time.

Thank you all for the responses!

We had gone this year at the end of September and we found a lot of the heavier dishes at F&W weren't appealing because of the heat, so that's why we were thinking November. But, another thing my mom pointed out today, if we go in September we'd have 4 weekdays to go to F&W whereas if we go in November we'd only have one, and we learned this year to avoid it on the weekends. This is turning into a really tough decision!
