Sept vs Nov in WDW

Hi Everyone,

We're tentatively looking into doing a trip this year, but we're caught between going in September and going in November. Has anyone been in both months and can compare the two for us? September would be mid-month and we've been there for free dining before during September. We've never been in November, but we'd go the first week- so weather-wise, it doesn't appear too cold. We're not a water park family, so I'm okay with missing that.

And does anyone know what specials usually pop up for November? September is obviously usually the tail end of free dining for that time of year, but I don't know about November.

Thanks :)

We have been late October and it was cool last year in the evening, but I think that was just a storm front and it warmed up the following day. I liked going in September. The weather was a bit warmer, but crowds at parks were smaller than October.

I've never been during either of those time periods, but if I had to chose I would go with the first week in November. This is due to the fact that if you go mid-September you will risk a hurricane ruining your vacation. I'm from Louisiana, so I pay quite a bit of attention to hurricane season. November is still hurricane season, but it is very, very rare to have a hurricane at that time. Mid-September, however, is a very likely time for a hurricane to strike.

Hurricanes very rarely affect Orlando they way they do other areas in Florida. I would not let that affect your decision.
If I had to be stuck anywhere in a hurricane, I'd rather it be at WDW.

Keep in mind that the first week of November is Jersey week, and although crowds are not horrible, there will be a significant increase (we went the Friday before JW, and really noticed an increase starting the following Monday). The weather was beautiful!

I live in Florida and I can tell you September is still very hot and humid. But depending on when you went you could go to MNSSHP and November you would miss out on that.

September is usually quiet and still warm. We've been there in both months and have really enjoyed Sept. more. That said, it can be VERY warm still. Hurricanes are also a possibility, but we've never experienced one...there have been "warnings" though. There are also no special ticket events during that time, but that's been a bonus for us since tickets bring more people!
Good luck with your choice. Whatever you chose will be a blast!
