Sept solo trip-which moderate?

I am going solo to WDW for 14 days, arriving September 25th. I am having trouble deciding which moderate to choose; I have stayed at all four and liked each for different reasons. I cannot justify in my mind paying the extra money for a deluxe; even though I don't spend all my time at the parts. I feel the cost of a deluxe is prohibitive, probably because I always go for 14 days.

So, any suggestions (with reasonings) as to which moderate I should choose?

Any assistance and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Cindy:hyper:

I stayed at the POR when I went on my solo trip last year. I stayed in Oak Manor. I liked the themeing of the resort, and the fact that it had a sit down restaurant as well as a food court and also because it had the quiet pools.
I know the CBR has all that but it just seemed like such a large resort, and the Corondo Springs resort just did not call my name. Staying in Oak Manor I was close to the main building, the quiet pool and not too far from the main pool. I would stay there again. We are trying the POFQ in June, since it is a smaller resort and my 73 year old mother is coming with us.
I am planning a solo trip for next year, and I am leaning towards either the POR again or the POFQ. That will depend on how much I like the POFQ.

I've stayed at both POR and CBR solo, both times during the first week of August. I would recommend POR for a solo trip. Alone I actually liked how things were more spread out and could really take the time to stroll around enjoy the beautiful landscaping. For that reason I would also recommend POR over POFQ for a solo trip. Maybe it was just unusually crowded during my trip to CBR (although it was the same week a year apart), but I found both the food court and the main pool at CBR to be much more crowded and less relaxing than at POR.

Never been to CSR but since it is the only moderate that is also used for conventions/groups it might be well-suited to a solo stay and not just families.

Check out my website below for pics and info on CSR! Good luck deciding.

Cindy,

Wow, 14 days by yourself to rest and relax - that sounds great.

I have stayed at CBR, POR and just recently POFQ, I agree with you - I like each resort equally, for slightly different reasons.

In your case I'd suggest CBR - reading a book laying in a hammock on a beach just seems like a great thing to do.

Another suggestion - if you don't think it too much of a hassle, why not split your stay, a week at each of two different resorts. Maybe match the exciting CSR pool with the quiet reburbished rooms at POFQ.

Whatever you do have fun.

Jeff
