Hey there guys,

Wonder if someone can help me out with a couple questions?

1.) what is the hours for the park in mid sept/mid oct?
2.) any dates I should avoid in sept/oct?
3.) What rides will be closed?
4.) Why when I go on hojos web site I get the entertainment rate but when I actually go to book it says rate unavailable (why do they even show it when I search?)

Thanks for the help in advance!

We are planning a trip in October and from my research it seems like your best bet would to avoid the first two weeks of October.

September 2009:: 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th
October 2009:: 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th ,19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th

These are the current dates HOJO is offer there Entertainment rate.

I don't know if you need to avoid these dates, but there is a Disney convention Sept 10th-13th, these were dates we were going to be there originally and now I am considering moving to the following weekend.

I have had problems in the past booking the rate online. If you are trying to book dates that include any non-entertainment rate days, that could be the problem. I usually just call the local number and make sure you ask for IN HOUSE reservations. If you happen to get Jennifer -- she is GREAT!! :goodvibes

whats the code for Hojo? I was thinking of booking online the entertainment rate incase we go again ( Losing the job in the next month and would like to go for one last time :)

1) Here are last year’s hours for Sept and Oct:

Fantasmic wasn’t shown last Sept/Oct because it was being refurbed. Based on the ’07 calendars, Fantasmic will likely be shown on Sat/Sun in September and Fri/Sat/Sun in October.

2) JMHO I would try to spend week days in the parks, although in Sept/Oct you will want to have some weekend days for fireworks and Fantasmic. October 1 to 4 is UEA (Utah Escapes to Anaheim) and also the Gay Days weekend, so those few days would be extra crowded.

3) HM will likely be down from Sept 10 to Sept 24 to install the HMH overlay, but those days are just a guess -- nothing official. ;)
There might be some refurb info at these 2 links:

4) I would call HoJo -- (714) 776-6120 or Toll Free: (800) 422-4228 -- and ask for “In House” reservations.
I also found Jennifer to be very helpful! :thumbsup2

HTH :earsboy:

Definitely call the Hojo's. They were so helpful when I booked. After I made my reservation I was sent an email confirmation. After that I was able to modify my reservation twice by just replying to the email. Jennifer is very quick to respond and I found email even easier than being on the phone on hold. :)

For some unknown reason, this is what the on-line site has been doing to a lot of us. There have been some recent threads about this and it has happened to several people. All the dates will show up separately with the ent. rate listed next to them, but when you get to the final page of the reservation, it says "rate plan not available". Is that what it is doing? It seems to be some kind of glitch at present. It doesnt' necessarily mean that your dates aren't available. I called them and all of my dates were available exactly as they were listed on the on-line site. The other people who had the same problem also ended up calling and their dates were available too. So, as the posters above mentioned, definitely call "in-house" reservations and check with them.
