Sept / Oct 2011

are you hoping into HS to do the dinner and Fantasmic or is that your HS day?

No we are also going to HS on Tuesday, we have this reservation for Thursday and I have scheduled a water park for the day. This is also the day we pick up our hire car, so we could do some shopping if the weather is not suitable for a water park.

I am trying to avoid buying parkhoppers, as this is our first trip (and only) we will be hitting all the parks from RD till evening, this is the only day I can see that we would use them, and it will save us $250.00 :)

Battymum, I'd love to avoid having to have Park Hoppers (which I currently do have booked) but, as all the advice that I've been given says I need to have two RD's at MK, it means we need to do MK that morning, go back to hotel for a break and then hop into HS for Fantasmic. I've got our waterpark visits planned for our break day and also for the morning of the night we do MNSSHP. What is your park itinerary as I can't remember it? If you've already posted it, please remind me where it is.

I am just about ready to book our ADR's - I think I have thought more about these meals than the rest of our holiday.

As our kids are disney adults but eat very little I think they will eat from the childrens menu at some places, that we will pay OOP for and they will possibly share some, this will give us additional credits for more meals. Trouble is, I dont know when and where I can fit these in. They are adamant not to do character meals, literally ROFL when I suggested it.:rotfl::rotfl:

This is how I have it - arriving late Fri so no meal here but will have 1 days credits to use later.

Saturday - Animal Kingdom - Dinner Boma 5:30

Sunday - Water Park - Dinner Ohana 5:00 - Evening EMH at Magic Kingdom (maybe exhausted here, but will def pop in for a look after dinner as we have to get transport from MK back to POP)

Monday - Epcot - Dinner at San Angel Inn 6:00pm

Tuesday - DHS - Dinner at 50s Prime Time 5:20

Wednesday - Magic Kingdom - Lunch Tonys Town Square, 12:30
Dinner Whispering Canyon 6:00pm

Thursday - Free morning, pick up hire car, shopping, water park or DHS-
Dinner Mama Melrose -F! package 4:50

Friday - Free morning, maybe shopping or 2nd vist to Epcot, (perhaps rocket launch at Cape Canavera:confused3l)-

Lunch Saana,(want to eat overlooking the savanah)
Dinner Narcoosees (table for 2:hug:)

Saturday - Final day - leaving early for Kennedy Space Centre.

This is our schedule Travel Mum, i think it is pretty much the same as yours except for Tue / Wed:)

Travel Mum, Michele is our agent too. Our ADR date is this Sunday. I am going to get Michele to do them. But, I still haven't figured out where we want to eat! I also want to avoid paying for park hoppers. We managed without them last time.

:woohoo: Congratulatons on getting your dining reservatons and for those of you doing it this weekend:goodvibes
Just a question we got park hoppers because the magic hours were not always at the place we needed to be later in the day but my question is how do you use the magic hours if you dont have the hoppers are your organising your schedule so that the hopper park is the one you go to that day?

one more day to go for my adrs

at what time does the day officially roll over

its past 12am there now and it still hasnt moved the date one day
does it happen at 6am their time ?

Has anyone been able to book Hollywood Brown Derby / Fantasmic Package for September? It is not coming up online, so I wonder if I should call?!?!?

THANKS!!

I know you have to start reading and planning a WDW holiday 12months in advance, and I am glad I did, I think you get the best prices this way.

BUT WHAT NOW? Waiting, waiting, waiting........

I wish I was going in April!!!:)

Hi BattyMum

It seems so long to wait 5 months 2 weeks & 3 days but I bet it goes real fast come on Easter and Winter and bring on Spring then September can move realllllll slooooowww....LOL

I have never been before, so am no expert, but we have no intention of using morning EMH. My theory is that we will be at RD at one of the other parks while all the disney guests are still at the morning EMH park. Hopefully the offsite guests will still be making their way in.
We will probably use the evening EMH at MK on Sunday, but expect it to be crowded and will be at a water park through the day. Maybe EPCOT on Friday, but will probably be off site for the day.

Thats the theory anyway!

You go into further detail and start planning your ride and FP order at each park :)

Got all my ADRs. We've got 15 bookings total. You can tell we're on DxDP! :lmao: Even got Ohana the first day we're there at a decent time (for us). Only one ADR was out by more than 10 minutes was Akerhaus Princess Lunch Norway where the time was 6.30pm rather than 6.

Also managed to score the Private Pontoon for Illuminations. :cool1:

Off to bed now, will update my pre trip properly tomorrow after some rest!

A hint, if you haven't booked your Princess lunches yet make sure you have your credit card handy, and put a 0 in front of your postcode. For example 2200 becomes 02200.

Hello,

What a weekend!! We finally booked most of our flights on Friday morning, and got the last 4 seats on the plane at the good price (phew)! :wizard:

Then I spent nearly an hour on the computer on Friday night booking all of our ADRs. I am thrilled with everything, we got all of the restaurants that I wanted and all at the times, or very close to, that we planned.

Then we got online and booked our crazy 5 nights in the Bahamas - I still can't believe that this is happening - DH has always talked about it (he went there with the British Navy in the '80s), and he brought it up again on Wednesday night - well by 11pm on Friday we were going!!!

So, once those flights to and from Nassau were sorted out, we could head back to the agent on Saturday afternoon (after soccer and football) to plan the rest of our USA internal flights.

We got everything worked out and have now completely paid for all of our flights. We have also paid for the Bahamas, and now just have to pay the balance of WDW, our accomodation in NYC and then decide on (and pay for) a hotel in Vegas.

Tonight I jumped back onto the WDW site and sorted out the ADRs for the last 2 days there - and now I can sleep!! I am sunburnt from standing at soccer (it was freezing?!?!), and am getting a cold.....but I'll cope - I have an amazing 4 weeks to look forward to!! In the mean time though, there is still ironing to do, kids training, dancing and swimming, and a business to run........I think that everybody deserves 5 days in the Bahamas!!! :cloud9:

Just want to introduce ourselves. 3 of us , my 9 years old DD , my mother and myself are from Sydney and are going to WDW in October as part of a 6 week holiday to the US and Canada which includes an Alaska Cruise, Oasis of the Sea and 2 Disney Cruisese !! We do all the bookings ourselves and have booked a LONG way in advance- for Oasis read 3 years!! and have got fantastic rates. We plan to go to Universal for 3 days and WDW for 4 - we have been to Disneyland and HK Disney a few times so we'll probably pass on MK. Can't wait for the trip- everything is now booked except some of the Accommodation. I wish I could say it is all paid for!!- Jennie

hellosue

yes we got everything we wanted
i didnt try for any private pontoons as i dont know how thats done or when the illuminations is on

happy with what we have
we will watch illuminations from wherever we happen to find ourselves

everything (almost) is paid for now, just working on the spending money at the moment

i think eveyone is getting a bit sick of not having any play money as all the spare cash is going towards the upcoming holiday (me included)

:confused3

:surfweb:

:yay:

Grrrrr!!! I was expecting an email from my agent confirming our ADR's, as they could be made from 9pm, our time, last night. I decided to ring WDW dining, and they advised that there were no dining reservations linked to our resort reservation.

Had to change a few restaurants around as only late times were available (not suitable with a 2 year old).

I am not sure how the dining reservation system works, but the agent assured me to book 180+10, they have to be linked to our resort booking. I am now hoping that I haven't double booked and everything will cancel.

Should have just done them myself last night!

kylieh, thanks for the credit card tip!
