Sept / Oct 2011

:lmao: We take empty suitcases inside each other with only a few days clothes that everyone has to be prepared to leave behind.

Glad to see someone else packs suitcases instead of clothes.....

I even stop my teenage daugthers from taking their hairstraighteners:lmao::rotfl2:

Hi AussieMumma,
You may not have missed out on Wishes Dessert Party because they have not released dates yet for September/October.

Another Fireworks to consider is the Pirates & Pals Firworks Cruise - meet and greet with Captain Hook, dessert and refreshments @ Contemporary Resort then board the boat with Patch, then watch fireworks and water illumination parade (some nights) then return to resort to meet an greet with Peter Pan..

I just learnt of this and booked with two very keen teenage Girl Pirates......
Did you book the pirates cruise on the phone or online?
Glad to see someone else packs suitcases instead of clothes.....

:rotfl2: I can imagine how impressed your daughters were from the reaction of mine when i told her she couldn't bring hers and she was only 11 last year:rotfl:
:rolleyes1 Even with the packing of suitcases we still had to buy some over there but the good news is i havent had to buy clothes this year here at all:banana:

hellosue Why wouldn't the person we spoke to on the phone from Disney Dining have told us that the dates hadn't been released yet?? She just said it was all booked out!!!
Off to check out that Pirates & Pals cruise now thank you!!!

I have a crack in the glass on my watch but refuse to buy a new one here, it just needs to keep on ticking until the end of September!!! We also only take 3 days worth of clothes and take 3 suitcases inside 3 suitcases. Being a family of 6 we get a nice luggage allowance ;)

Not sure just if you look at Web Site there is no bookings available for Aug/Sept yet and when we roll over for June I bet another month appears ready for bookings ..... I've been watching this the last few months
My Agent MFL also says "not available yet"

So keep your fingers crossed and keep trying If you have an Agent let them take care of the booking....:cool1:

We are now officially planning a trip in late October to see DL at Halloween for the first time:cheer2: DSs (8 and 11) are very excited about the Mickey Trick or Treat party and scoring lots of US candy generally!

Our air tickets are sorted (Virgin) - now to see what we can do about getting a deal at Hojos. Ent Book dates are pretty limited but there seem to be some good deals available through Air New Zealand Holidays, who we booked with last time we went in 2009.

As the NZ$ is finally over 80c US for the first time in years, DH has suggested we also have a splurge for a couple of nights at a Disney hotel - maybe GCH? Would love to stay at the DL Hotel but prices seem to have gone up there since the renovations.

We are hoping that if the Christmas period at DL officially starts on Nov 11 we may even get to see some of that too, as we are planning a two week break in California and could revisit DL at the end of our trip. anyone else hoping to luck out and get two DL holidays in one trip?

:cheer2:Congrats on booking that sounds great to do 2 lots on the 1 trip. :cheer2:
We are hoping to do Hong Kong and Tokyo Disney next year they would both be a side trip to the trip my DH is insisting on taking to Phuket next year.
I would love to see Disney with the Christmas decorations up.

That's great news Saskiwi as, after the earthquake and all it entails, I'm sure you are all due a lovely happy break away :cool1:

Yeah.. I have to say I feel a bit guilty planning a fabulous trip to DL when so many people in my home town are having a really crappy time right now..but we have to use our air tix before the end of the year so, earthquake or not, we are going!
It will be nice to be able to forget about it all for two weeks that's for sure

Travel Mum - OMG look how close Pluto is to Mickey!

How much time planning you have done?

Wow, yes, I had looked at the months/days countdown but not at Pluto - look at him go!! :cheer2:

It feels like I have been planning this trip for soooo long now and I've actually forgotten when I started. I guess the thought came into my head back in October 2009 when Air NZ brought out some good specials for 2010 travel and it got me wondering. However we realised that 2010 was too soon for us so I decided on the October school holidays of 2011. The first thing I actually booked was our cruise which was done in April 2010. So I guess, when we do finally go, this trip will have been two years on the planning! :rotfl2:

I'm really not sure what on earth I'm going to do with myself once the trip is over - suspect I will be quite sad :confused3

Hurray! that is great news. Congratulations on booking the trip. To do both Halloween and Christmas would be very special indeed!

:eek:51 days to go:yay:

Now i don't want to sound ungrateful but i have kinda got hooked on the Disneyland Christmas thread and the photo's of the castle brought tears to my eyes and:rolleyes1 now i am longing for a Disneyland Christmas if only the budget would allow me till stay till then:rotfl:

I did think about trying to squeeze in another trip:cloud9: but when i saw the price of the flights:scared1: holy moly it would take me longer than 6 months to save for a Christmas trip:lmao:
Well i guess there is always next year:upsidedow

Travel Mum I know what you mean, at the moment I have no plans for anything after the middle of October because we will be home from our trip then and I don't want to think about that!! :scared1:

I have lots of exciting things happening, birthdays and my in-laws coming from England for Christmas - but I don't even want to imagine those things going on because that will mean that we are home and it's all over. I think I'll need some kind of 12 step program! :rotfl:

It really is sad when you get back from a trip. I have definitely suffered the blues the last two times. I had to step away from the Disboards for many months after the trips. It was too painful to hear others talk about planned trips.

I still find it hard because I don't have anything solid coming up.

My advice, start planning the next trip :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yes, I can so relate to that! My Mum is excitedly wanting to make plans for Christmas Day and the days around it as it's our turn to go up to Auckland and for my parents to host Christmas again. But I really have no interest in discussing it (have to fake interest for her sake though) because, as you say, that means that our trip will have been and gone. That is really hard to think about :scared1:

:flower3:I know most of us get the mouse savers newsletter but just incase someone doesn't it says that tickets go up on Sunday, June 12 :sad2:

They don't give you much notice for price increases do they?!! I don't think they'd get away with that over here!
I bought our WDW tickets last night, it would have been an extra $154 tonight!

Not strictly Disney but if anyone is wanting Universal tickets - my Agent tells me they will follow Disney in a few days and increase prices too.....
Just booked mine with Undercover Tourist - hope they will be ok and arrive in 17 days as advertised - way cheaper than Agent could offer....
