Sept National Rates Down AGAIN!!

I just wanted to let everyone know to KEEP TRYING for a cheaper rate at National! I originally booked Sept 8-16th (Emerald Aisle) on 06/09 for $190 w/the priceless code & Entertainment coupon...last week I checked & it went down to $178...TODAY I checked again & it's now $163!! I can't believe it! So keeeeeeep trying!! :0)

I love this board. I just checked again for our November dates and it went down another $ 37 to $ 153.79 for a full sized week. That's down $ 72 since I booked a month ago. That's lower than we've ever paid. I can't wait to see how low it goes.

I had gotten 198. when I first booked in Feb/March. Now it's down to 247. total, but I need it to go down more for a full sized car. I checked the same dates for Sept, and it's the sme total, so I'm thinking it'll still be a while before Oct goes all the way down.

Interesting, I just checked my rate, and it jumped almost $230.00 for September.

August rental down to $127 for 5 days. This has been going down steadily since my original quote in July.

October - originally booked that in March for $153 for 10 days. The quote right now is $293.

6:00 p.m. drop off MCO. Got a rate of $277.08 for Intermediate several months ago with Amex code and Entertainment coupon. (Priceless produces a higher quote at this location) Since then, I have checked at least a hundred times and sometimes the rate is higher and sometimes it stays the same, but I have never gotten a lower rate. If I can't get it lower by Oct, this will be, by far the highest I have ever paid for a rental car in the Orlando area!

Down to $163 for 9/17 - 9/25! I was excited when it went below $200...I think it was around $215 when I first booked a few months ago. I'll keep playing the game - hoping to see it go under $150!

Mine dropped another $20 last week...it's been steadily ticking down $20 every time I check it.

I started out at $189, and am down to $148 for the week.

I love it!

EDITED TO ADD:

I just checked again, and it's down to $129!!!! I'm so excited that I'm able to save this much money....you just can't beat National in Orlando, as far as I'm concerned. The only one who I have found to be cheaper is Thrifty, and I'm just hesitant. I love Emerald Aisle and the ease of returning with National.

It dropped again this AM (alot). Of course it's still not the low rate I booked months ago ($101 base rate/full size), but it's getting closer. At this rate, I will hopefully be rebooking at a new lower rate soon.
