sept crowds

that's just what i wnated to hear. Be there in about a week, can't wait

Just back from my trip 8/30 - 9/3.
I went to the park on 8/31, 9/2 and 9/3

Totally big difference between pre/post labor day trip to the park! The "crowd?" on 9/2 was virtually disappeared. All the rides are just not more than 5-10 mins wait.

Have fun!

YIPEE!!!!
Im so happy, oh so happy!

This just gets better and better..anyone else just return with more info on the parks....thank you all very much for your input.

Woo hoo!! I was also getting worried about potentially large crowds. Can't wait to go!!! :bounce: :bounce:

Any observations about early entry parks being more crowded? We only have 3 1/2 days in the park and our plan it to use EE.

I'm just going to be in Orlando 3 full days. Only doing one day DW with a hopper pass! My family loves Sea World, have to go again!

Which weekend day is best? Sat or Sun. Plan to do a quick hop AK, MK and Epcot.

Still in WDW- just a little update on crowds. :) Thurs afternoon at Epcot, MS was a total walk on; the single rider line at TT was also as much a walk on as it could be. There were only 10 of us in the Body Wars vehicle.

Wed at MGM, ToT was a total walk on in the morning and afternoon. (the bad news here is that it was totally addictive to keep getting back in line and seeing which drop sequence would be used next *g*) RnRC was similar. Neither attraction was using FP. Millionaire was only about 2/3- 3/4 full. (and I got as high as #2 on the placement board!)

Wed eve at MK, Splash was a total walk on, and they asked people in the log behind mine if they wanted to stay on a 2nd time. I saw a number of empty logs (as there had been on Tues am). Space Mt was a 15 minute wait at just before park close; I was spoiled by the utter lack of waits everywhere else.

I've been to WDW many times at various times of the year, and this is the least crowded I've ever seen it. The biggest downside are the shortened hours of some food areas (I wanted to get a Beaver Tail at Epcot today but the kiosk was closed both times I passed; I've seen a number of other food places closed)

Hope those of you coming soon have as GREAT a time as I am having! :) I don't want to go home. I'll be writing a full trip report when I get back home- if anyone is interested, I can post a link somewhere.

Thanks for a recent update, Broadway Belle. The crowd situation sounds GREAT!!!!! My sister is there right now at a Nintendo convention and is giving me daily updates as well. Although, she has to rely on other resort guests to tell her what the parks are like because she's been in workshops all day long so far.

Just a few more days, a few more days... Thanks for the recent crowd (or lack of) update!!

We have always gone in the summers or around Labor Day so looking forward to lighter late Septermber crowds. Last time couldn't even go on Test Track or Rockn Roller Coaster it was so bad.

PS What's a beaver tail?

FYI - just saw some info on other threads, so I checked the Sept hours again, since they are constantly being tweaked.

Our trip is Sept 23-30th, and

FITS at MK has been scheduled for Wed, Sat and Mon, and on Sat the 27th, there are two SpectroMagic parades (8 and 10pm). Does this mean they think crowds will be bigger then?

We are going a the exact same time! Staying at the Polynesian with DH, DD1 and DD4.
I was wondering if it was going to be crowded as well. But it sounds like we will be ok, as long as the sun decides to come out!

We'll be there the same week as you and we have Wednesday scheduled as our first MK day. We chose Wednesday because TourGuideMike said Wednesdays are the least crowded days at MK. However, now that they've extended closing by one hour and added FITS I'm worried that it will be more crowded. I don't think I'm going to change my itinerary though. I've already got PS for the Plaza Restaurant that day. I'm just going to have faith that everything will be fine, crowds or not. I really think that it can't be as bad as the last couple of months. I still think Sept is a great month to go. See you at the WL!!!

I see some counters that match mine! Are you going to be wearing green ribbons? :earsgirl: :teeth:

We were in the Magic Kingdom on Tuesday, Sept. 2 and Wednesday, Sept. 3. The crowd levels were the same as last year...FastPass wasn't even "on" on Tuesday. The longest waits we had were the Grand Prix Raceway- 20 mins and Space Mountain- 30 mins. Everything else was a walk-on or we had to wait 5 minutes or less. It was a little more crowded on Wednesday, but strangely enough, the crowds REALLY died down after the parade at 3pm. My DH and BIL walked onto Space Mountain at around 3:30pm- no wait at all. We LOVE this time of year at Disney! The weather was actually beautiful on Tuesday...no rain, only slight humidity, and a nice breeze...Wednesday, on the other hand, was HOT HOT HOT!
