Sept crowds?

What are the crowds like on Labour Day weekend? Sept 6-7-8. Thanks in advance.

When we were there at this time there were moderate crowds (very manageable).

This is usually towards the tail end of the free dining, plus you get the end of summer crowds which start to slow at the end of August, but parks really get quiet right after Labour Day.

Weather was extremely hot and humid!

I would definitely go during that time again though.

Labour Day is the first weekend of the FD promo. The last 3 years it started on the Sunday before Labour Day and went to the end of September.

We were there last year and it wasn't that bad, but we are used to being in the world in the summer months when it is super crowded. Yes, it's VERY hot and humid and it rains everyday for at little while in the afternoon. The worst last year was only about 45 minutes.

I don't. I was just stating when it had started for the last 3 years. However, the bounceback dates DO start before Labour Day weekend. Going by what has happened in the past it most likely will be the same if it is offered again for 2009 to the general public.

We arrived there for Labor Day in Sept 2008 and stayed for 4 nightsand it was really slow. We stayed at POFQ and it was empty. We didn't see any other guests or hear any in our building the whole 4 nights. The parks were slow and everything was walk on. The only thing that had a line was to visit Airel's Grotto which was always a 45 minute wait from when it opened to closing. We also did AK and it was also all walk on. The restaurants weren't busy at all and all had space for walk ups.

Our first trip in 2007 was taken September 9th - 16th, we thought it would be quiet because of Labor Day and everyone back at school/work.

But it was packed, and it was so hot/humid. We will never go again during that time, just not for us!

How do you know that this is when the FD will be offered this year?

Historically if I can recall, the free dining promotion for the general public starts the last full week of August. So if history repeats itself, it should be offered again on or near August 23-24th....but that's just my opinion.
