I guess I will finish packing in the morning....about to leave for PNC arts center with DD for the Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean concert....

Safe travels to all and let the adventure begin!!!

For those that have cruise out of NYC, how far is the walk from where the car service drops you off to where you get rid of your luggage and check in?

Linda

About 5 feet...you pull right up to the curb and the porters actually come over to the car...at least that has how it was each time we sailed from NYC.

Once you get into the terminal (it is a long terminal) you will first go through secruity and then it is a bit of a walk to back end of the terminal where check in is.

You're on.

Did you have to mention A Perfect Storm? I remember that movie very vividly and now have images of two red stacks bobbing in boiling seas.

Wishing everyone a safe journey to New York! Bags are packed and ready to go. Have a list of last minute items so I don't forget in the AM. Pick up time is 9 AM, so excited it is finally here! Can't wait to meet all tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone for the awesome FE surprises. Wishing all a safe trip home. Sue and Paul

What a great trip. We avoided Leslie and had some pretty good weather. It was great meeting you all.

Thank you all for a great trip! Hope to see you on future cruises! Anyone going on the 5/27 Alaska cruise?

We are doing the 6/15 Med.

There was one thing that surprised me on the cruise. Considering it came out of NY, why was there no mention of 9/11?

That was one of the first things family and friends asked, and were very surprised that there wasn't at least a moment of silence.

What a fantastic cruise! And what fabulous weather given all of the Hurricane Leslie worries. Just wanted to echo how nice it was to meet everyone at the meet and greets and around the ship. I also wanted to throw out a special thank you to Linda for making those awesome name tags. The customs guy in New York asked me if I was a crew member when he saw my name tag :)

I want to echo the thanks to Linda for the name tags. Somehow we never met up with any of you nice folks. Hopefully next time. I would like to know if the older kids liked the colonial money. 1st time I have used and may pass out again. Sue

So I am just now seeing this post. We walked right by B&H last Thurs. on the way to our hotel.

It was a great trip. I'm sorry I didn't make it to any of the meetups, but I suspected that might happen, what with trying to herd the two kids everywhere. (Although my husband said that at one point he passed a largish group of adults eating mickey bars in one of the common areas, maybe that was some of you!) Did anyone take any group photos?

To the fish extender people: wow! It was our first Disney cruise, and although I was well versed in fish extender theory, once stuff actually started appearing outside our door, I was amazed by the thoughtfulness and variety and quantity (!!) of the gifts. Some of them came in very handy, and my daughters really seemed to enjoy the whole thing. Thanks!

Is it too early to be thinking about the next vacation already :)

The Navigator for Tuesday did say that it was Patriot Day.

We could see the Tribute in Light from the ship when we were making our way into port late Tuesday night. I thought that was pretty awesome.

Never heard the term Patriot Day until I saw that on the Navigator. My cousin, who sailed with us and lives just outside Wash DC, hadn't heard the term either. He figured since it was Patriot Day it should be a Federal Holiday and we totally agreed.
So.....does anyone know when the term was first used?
