WOW!

Cleaning up the desk top around here I found the original confirmation from when I booked our flight down to Orlando. So, being the curious person I am, I plugged in the number to see what the airfare would be if I booked it today.

Surprise, surprise, the flight went down $279.20 :earseek:

So, I called Spirit Airlines. For a change in reservation fee of $100, I was able to rebook our same flights. :cheer2: I'm still coming out ahead by almost $180. :cheer2:

So, I now have a voucher towards a future flight on Spirit for $279.20. Cool! Looks like it's time to think about either the week before Christmas or Spring Break for us.

Off to check Cameron & my October flights! :moped:

Good afternoon all!

Thought I'd take a moment to post, since "someone" chastised me for being quiet this weekend!!! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I've been busy spending time with family, and working on things that I'd been letting go while chatting on this thread! I've also been busy getting the children's surprise ready.

We're heading over to the Space and Rocket Center this afternoon. They're having a Rocket Launching and Ice Cream Social for members, so we decided it would make for a fun afternoon. Plus, Sam was just asking about launching rockets again the other day (yep, we're science geeks!).

Hope everyone has a great afternoon.

Cindy - that's great news! Have you ever been to WDW during the holidays? It is wonderful!

We LOVE WDW at the holidays. We usually try to go the week after Thanksgiving. Everything is decorated, but the parks are pretty quiet.

We have and it's beautiful.

I was just looking at the calendar. The kids are off of school the entire week before Christmas. Gee, I'm going to have to think about this. I think Gary's out of vacation time for this year (um, Gary did you want to go too? ).

Just to spread it out a bit, maybe spring break might be a better option (as in we could all go ;) ). And, if we go at Christmas, it would mean no vacation until July and this past year, we went from May, 2004 to Sept, 2005 without a WDW fix. Let me tell you, it's been kind of rough (okay, we had Hilton Head twice and Gettysburg so we did have vacations -- just not WDW).

What can I say.......look what DVC has done to us. Spoiled rotten! :teeth:

Lisa - don't ever apologize for spending time with family! It is nice to see you posting today and I hope that you come back later and tell us all about the rocket launch! We're science geeks too!

Last night in either Hobby Lobby or Michael's I saw these little packages of trim that were add ons to flip flops? I've never used them and didn't look at them to read the instructions but I wonder if that might be an option for some.

The ones I saw had plastics to pull off and expose the sticky so the strips of flowers would go on like stickers on the top of the flip flop straps. I liked the idea, but not the color choices I had. My problem with Flip flops is that they go sideways on my feet so that my heel does not stay centered, it is off the edge. Anyone ever have that happen? Other than double sided sticky pads on my heels does anyone have a suggestion?

leave it to a lurker to cut in line ala "bazillion brazillions", but to those who have cruised recenlty, on the last members cruise there was a desk where we could look into taking a future cruise, and i think get some kind of discount did i just make this up, or is there such a place on every cruise, and if this is a reality what is this discount. and do we need to book then, just how does this work. thanks!

Welcome!

On the last member cruise there was a great discount for rebooking while onboard, but rumor has it no discount incentive will be offered this time around. I guess time will tell though and we'll find out in 3 short weeks!! :Pinkbounc

There was a special offer on the last Member Cruise for rebooking. It was 50% off your next cruise if booked onboard. We do not yet know what offers will be available on this Member Cruise. Will you be joining us?

The rebooking desk is there for every cruise and will get you and early booking discount and a stateroom credit on that next cruise.

I wasn't gone too long this morning and you guys were VERY chatty!! :chat: :chat: :chat:

So who is the "chattiest" on this thread Mary, and how do you find that info out? I'm betting it's Mary, but Amy is coming from behind as a close second! :rotfl:

Yes it's me :guilty:

To check go to the main cruise meets board (where they list all the threads). Click on the replies number and it will bring up a list for you. We had great fun with this on the 10 day. Especially when someone would go on vacation and the rest of us would try and "catch" them.

thanks mary, 50% wow does that sound great, yes dw and i are going to be on this member cruise also, and to give you a clue which cruise we are thinking of, as far as we are concerned the ship could stay on cc two, three or all seven nights, just think beach front cook outs every noon, since there are alot of new vendors on cc for activities, plenty of excursions, add nightly beach front bond fires, heres the new dvc island resort cc
