Sept 30,2007 Wonder are we all alone?

OMG!! I'm so excited today! I'm not sure what it is, but I just know that NOW, the next two weeks and one day until we get on are going to be torture.

BTW -- you'll know it's me on board when you see someone BAWLING their eyes out. I cry just *thinking* about my kids catching first sight of the ship and them announcing our names, and the horn blowing, and.....EVERYTHING!!

My daughter's two custom costumes arrived in the mail yesterday. She tried them on, and.....you guessed it, BAWLING. How am I going to get any work done in the next two weeks?????????

My family and myself (Me,Hubby and son who is 2) will be on the Disney Wonder, for our first ever cruise on Sept 30th-Oct 4th!!! :cool1:

We will have our stateroom decorated...working on those now, packing tomorrow!!! We were looking for others who were traveling on the pass porter forum but no show for anyone yet over there...but I'm so excited!!! :dance3:

welcome Tazgirl! You will have a blast! This cruise is my families third, and my fourth!...Can you tell I'm hooked?:thumbsup2 My daughter and her friend packed up my three youngest last night! What a big help and relief! Now all's I need to pack is myself. DH, and three older kids:rotfl2: Oh, my youngest two are staying with friends, so I need to pack them up too. I'm taking them cruising when the new ships are sailing:goodvibes

Welcome aboard! Your whole family is going to have such a great time, especially you and hubby - who might get some alone time! :)

What are you doing for decorations? That's my project for the week, and I've got no ideas! I'm about to just fork over the $40 for the Disney decorations in the kids' room.

Welcome aboard! I still have to do my door magnet design. Would love to hear how you are decorating your room.

Hey, is anyone planning a meet on our first day?

Well What I am doing for room decorations are mostly computer generated stuff...like a pic of the family inside mickey ears, I made a cruise ship out of the flat foam craft stuff (you can buy basically anywhere) and I am putting pictures of us on there as well. I am also going to cut out the mickey ears for around the stateroom number on the door. Im still trying to think of what else I can do to add more cool decorations :confused3 I know that everything has to be magnetic so that makes it a little more of a challenge so I have to work extra hard and use my magnets to the best of my ability :rotfl:

I just made my list of items to pack...UGH Im questioning what everyone else packs for only four days of trip. Mine always seems so much (Im usually an over packer) but with a 2 year old boy you kinda have to be. I am packing the basics..but is everyone packing like dress clothes for the cruise?? I know that I want to pack maybe at least one pair of dress clothes for each of us, do I need more than that??? As you can tell I HATE dressing up :sad2: But I will when I need to :scared:

Well, I'm a total over-packer, too. My excuse is that I've got a 3, 4, and 6 year old with us! For dressy stuff - I've packed a pretty formal jacket and pants set for Palo dinner, a dressy top and pants for Palo Brunch, a skirt and top for the last night, and a red/black striped lightweight sweater and black skirt for pirate night. The first night I'm wearing a pair of black corduroy jeans and a button down shirt with a tank under it. It's really casual. I will say the Palo outfits are dressier than is necessary, but I'd like a decent pic of DH and I, and when else do I get to do that besides his Christmas party?

Well I'm taking full opportunity of the "Little Einsteins"movie that is playing on Disney right now and have been frantically running around the house grabbing things to pack. Geez it seems like I have so much. 1 Large suitcase for Hubby and myself to share and 1 tiny one for my son...although the little one pretty much is squished full since Ive also managed to pack in lil guys diapers and wipes into that (not sure how I did it though) LOL :rolleyes1 The large suitcase is also packed full...but the reason being is for more than just the cruise, we are staying with my parents in Cocoa before and after the cruise...Just one day before but till Sunday after...so I wanted to pack an extra outfit or so for that...:thumbsup2 I am also packing inside the large suitcase a large folded up duffel bag (it folds extremely flat) for souvineers since there probably wont be any room at all in our large luggage suitcase, and I didn't want to NOT leave room for souvineers :sad2: I broke down and am packing 2 dress outfits for us...we don't have Palo booked:faint: because we are not sure how DS will take being away from us (Hubby isn't even sure if we will put him at Flounders reef or not) so we decided to wait on that and maybe take a cruise later with more of the family members to help watch him...We haven't left him alone yet with anyone  :rolleyes1 So I don't really have to worry about getting TOO dressed up So I'm packing mostly pants and shirts except my two dress clothes (a dress with tights under it) and dressy Capri's. As you can tell, I am so not a dress kinda girl even though I have tons of them...Ive gotten to where I don't like wearing them if I don't have to and hubby doesn't like dressing up either cause he has to do that everyday for work.:groom: But I'm almost done with the major items...Just had to take a break and relax for a few. I've packed all of DS's items just have to grab a few more of hubby's items and of course I will have to wait for the last second stuff popcorn:: But I'm happy that I almost have everything packed.:woohoo: :cheer2:

I'm already packed except for my two DS's tennis shoes from school. I feel like I've gotten a ton of luggage, and I honestly did scale down. We've got one big suitcase, one rolling garment, two very small that are the kids. They actually like to have their own suitcase to take. I did take a nicer outfit for me each night. A nice shirt for DH and boys also, I do plan on re-wearing shorts though. We are doing 3 days at Disney afterwards. My big pitfall is on the toiletries and etc. I know I tend to overpack on that stuff but for the life of me can't figure out what to not pack. I've got a medicine chest that covers everything! Maybe I'll look at that this week and see if I can weed anything out!

Don't pack any shampoo, conditioner or lotion. The stuff in the cabin is great!

Whoo Hoo!! Got my docs today!!:yay:

Since I booked so late I also got my Disney Cruise Planning Calendar at the same time telling me to look forward to booking my excursions and Palo reservations on July 2, 2007! Pretty funny.

I haven't packed a thing yet, but I'm very excited and am driving my husband crazy with all the cruise talk.

Anyone care to hazard a guess as to how I am feeling about my travel agent now??? Anyone? Bueller? GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Uh, what planning calendar? I NEVER got anything from my TA at all. Oh, and still no docs. For those playing along, I'm in Florida -- and my TA is about 20 miles from me. They'll be hearing from me in the morning. Lovely for them, I assure you.

Deep breaths now!!! I too got my planning calendar, but I got that on Saturday and got my documents Friday. This was one thing I hated when I used a TA that had documents come to them first. My first cruise we used AAA and all I did was call, call, call when everyone else was getting their docs. Hang in there! Did you do your online check in? If not, I'd recommend doing this then if the TA never finds your documents, you don't have to worry, everything will be ready. :goodvibes

Finishing up the door magnets here. One of my daughters just got her documents yesterday! We already registered online, so I guess it really dosen't matter, but it's nice to have them come in the mail. Just opened up our cruise fund spending money(a giant pepsi bottle bank, almost full of coins and bills) the bank is gonna "love" me today! I'm taking it in to have it counted:)

I second the driving the hubby crazy part! He thinks I'm obsessed. You guys have motivated me to look at doing door magnets. I think that will be my project today, that and go back and read recent trip reports. I'm interested to see if the water is clear. We went two years ago and there was a tropical storm and the water was very cloudy, couldn't see anything snorkeling.

Kenika

I have always found the family beach to be a little cloudy when the ship comes in. We snorkel over at the adult beach and it has always been clear for us.
