I will on this cruise. I have been looking to see if anyone else will be and was thinking the boat was empty.  This is going to be my families first trip. 1st to Disney (my 2nd time but it was so long ago it doesn't count) and 1st to cruise. I am a bit nervous. It should be me (Terry) DH DS (5 yr old boy) my mom and hopefully (but they may be backing out) my sister and her 3 girls.
I am not sure what a fish extender gift exchange is, I have been trying to research and guess its like a secret santa?

I totally hear what you are saying! I was starting to think no one else would be on this cruise either! LOL! Oh well, I'm sure the 7 night cruises book faster then the 4 night cruises. Wow, your first cruise! Very exciting! You will LOVE it!:lovestruc

The FE's are kind of like secret santa, you are correct. Here is the link to the thread with all the info you will need:

My DH and I will be on board - his birthday celebration and my second cruise (first for DCL)

I'd be interested in doing something with the Fish Extenders! :)

Hey cool! How old is your husband going to be? We will be celebrating my husband's 50th! Ugh! (wow that sounds so old when I write it down!!)and my son's 6th!! and it will be our 15th wedding anniversary too!!:scared1: : I swear I am not that old!!!

This cruise will be our 1 year wedding anniversary! :thumbsup2 Wow! Considering we are just at the 5 month mark now, 1 year seems so crazy!

I am not sure how to go about the FE. I have never done one. Do we form some kind of a list of people who are interested and go from there??? Anyone know?

Hi new to the forums and new to cruising! My sister, my 2 boys (12 & 15) and I are booked on this cruise and are incredibly excited!

We are spending 1 week in WDW before hand, spending a few nights at Cocoa Beach after the cruise, heading back to WDW for another week and then stopping off at Disneyland for a few days before flying back Down Under. It's a long way to come and we don't know if we will ever be back so we are doing it all!!! :cheer2:

I would love to hear more from experienced cruisers!pirate:

Hi all, We'll be on the Wonder 9/28th too!
We're first timers too

Celebrating our 40th birthdays (DH and I this year) and 15th wedding anniversary with our 10yr DD. Looks like all the kids are boys so far ... DD is hoping for some girls.

We're flying in on 9/28 ... then 3 more nights after the cruise at WDW.
We're booked at SSR, but may try to change resorts at the 7 months mark.

Hoping that there will be a MNSSHP on 10/2, 10/3, or 10/4

Really excited about the cruise, keep us posted about the FE ... never heard of it before, but we're game

Hello Everyone!

I do not know for sure if we will be on this cruise or not.
We are currently booked on the Magic double dip leaving the day before...but for quite a few reasons we are beginning to think we may not be able to do that cruise. If we can't make that one work....we'll be hopping on board this cruise!:thumbsup2

I'll hold back the details until we decide for sure what we are going to do...
But I will say if we *are* there you can count me in on the FE (fish extender) festivities! Yes, Tink...we would have to make a list on the thread and then each person participating would pass out the goodies to those on the list. My sad FE laid floppily against the wall on our last cruise...it's really looking for some action!:goodvibes

Churros, there are some great excursions available for this cruise. In Nassau we have done the Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter. It was pricey....roughly 85$ per person for about 3 hours..and of the 3 hours only 1/2 hour with the dolphins...but was a wonderful experience! We have also done the Atlantis Aquaventure excursion. Another splurge financially ($150/adult) this one cost a whole lot but was tons of fun. It includes rides to & from Paradise Island a short tour of Atlantis grounds and all access to the Aquarium, Casino, and best of all- the water slides and water coasters. The only problem with this was not enough time to get everything done...too much to see and do. But we had a fantastic time. They also have cheaper Atlantis excursions- Discover Atlantis is the Aquarium and other grounds tour and I think they still have the Atlantis Beach Day- everything you get in "Discover Atlantis" plus lunch and access to the beach. You could also just pay a taxi to take you over to Paradise Island and explore the Atlantis grounds on your own....certainly something to see!

In Castaway Cay, we haven't done much there. They have bikes for rent, and the Stingray thing (which we don't do since the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team has the same thing in the ballparks for free and we've done it countless times). We have done the banana boat ride- what fun! It costs about 14$ per person (8 and up). IMO, the ride itself could have been a bit faster (and hence, bumpier) but it was still a blast. I recommend it!

I will keep you updated as we work out the kinks in our plans!

Hi, everyone. We should all get together and say HI at least once on board.

Pakdayton- my neices should be coming (although I may have to bribe my sister) they will be 14, 12 and 10 at the tme of shipping. So maybe your DD would be happy about that! Me and DH will be celebrating 15 too! (if I don't kill him sooner) :rotfl2: but we are staying at WD 3 days before the cruise, read somewhere where it is better to walk and then relax on boat.

Tink113 - I am all in!

Churros- Wow! That sounds like some vacation! Kinda tiring though?

Hope to get to know all of you better before the cruise!! :woohoo:

Thanks so much - with so little time we want to make the most of our time ashore!:beach:

I think TerryPoohBear may be right that our trip will be tiring but we can sleep on the plane back to Australia - we have plenty of time!:upsidedow

Tink you can add us to your list:
Stateroom #6558
My sister and I + DS(15) + DS(12)
Will try to bring a little bit of Australia with us to pop in everyones' FEs.

We are having some trouble convincing my DS(12) that he will enjoy the kids program as his older brother will be in the teen program and the younger one is one month short of being able to attend according to DCL. I don't know how the school system works in the US but he is in his first year of high school and thinks he his too old for the 10-12 program. Any suggestions!

churros - No problem I will update your info! I'm excited to see what you come up with from Australia for the FE's.
About DS(12)....Wow, high school. 12 is middle school in the states. Most kids in High School are 15-18. We have 3 levels (Elementary, Middle School or Junior High, and High School). It's hard to be on the edge of the cut off. I wouldn't worry too much about it. There are so many things to do outside of the programs, I'm sure he'll still have a good time. Maybe you can talk to program director once you are on board. :thumbsup2

We just booked this cruise!!! :cheer2: Hooray!!! :cheer2: So far it will be my DH, my DD (who will be 5) and me. I am trying to recruit additional family members. I saw that somebody is from Virginia...so are we. We live in Chesapeake, Virginia. We would love to participate in any fish extender event. We have sailed on one prior Disney cruise on the Wonder in February of 2005. I cannot wait !!:woohoo: :woohoo:
