Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

I hate to burst your bubble, but my parents had cabin #6154 two years ago. It's the handicap room across from the one you have. You do feel monement, it's more of a rocking vs. the bounce of being up in the bow.On the first night the movement was so bad my mother who uses a walker and is in a wheelchair had to go to bed, she couldn't walk at all. The rest of the week was fine. The only place you feel less movement is towards the middle of the ship.

I understand the "seesaw" idea. That low and mid ship is the best bet, but I have never had an issue with being aft... and this is cruise number 19. We have had some rough sailings though where no matter where you were it was bad ;) But by far the worst place I have ever experienced motion sickness was in a room all the way forward on a sea day. We were visiting the room for about 30 minutes and I had to get out or get sick.

FE by cabin is updated. Fire14 I added those two new names! Hadn't noticed we had more joiners. Also updated another cabin #. Still looking for #s for 3 disers:

PenskeSth1
DisneyNut64
Ky Cruisin - I also still need DMom's name!

Wow!!! :cool1: 19 cruises. How many were onthe Disney Cruise?

Aristocats lover. I have few people on FE list who are not on deck color coded list.

Is this the thing with the little gifts? I think we got here too late to do it so we won't be doing it. Is that ok? I don't have a lot of time to get things together between now and then.... lots of work stress! :guilty:

HOLY GUACOMOLE!!! :rotfl2:

We've got 71 cabins and counting now???? Pam, you are a "Disney Sweetie" to be keeping up with all of this in the midst of a soon to be wedding! Whew, I for one, owe you a drink on the cruise! :worship:

I actually started making FE gifts last night with the girls crafting group and they were all oohing and ah'ing, so hopefully that is good news for you! I think they are turning out better than planned, and cannot wait to share with you all! :goodvibes

Have a fantastic rest of the weekend all! Time is a ticking away...

Thanks! I dont know how I am managing to stay on top of what ya'll are doing on here, but I am trying! The wedding is 13 days from now and I think we just might make it!!! :) The engagement announcement was in the local paper today. Would love for ya'll to see it, but not sure if I can post a web address on here or not :confused3. I did put it on my facebook page if you want to look at it there.

Leissa and I went to WalMart yesterday and they had all kinds of Disney PJs....some new and others marked down. We got ours for the breakfast. They also had shorts and shirts marked down to $3. Leissa got her 4 pairs of shorts and 7 shirts for $40.

As soon as the wedding is over, I am starting on my FE gifts. I just hope I have a FE to put outside of my door!!! I am not waiting much longer before I will have to look for someone else to make me one.

Have a great Sunday everyone!!!

I know this probably gets discussed a lot, but what are the men wearing to Palo and/or formal night dinner?

Can my DH wear a long sleeve dress shirt, tie, nice pants? Packing a sport coat or suit would mean a garment bag which would mean an extra bag which would mean an excess baggage charge on most airlines.

I mean, we are on vacation so I'd rather not... you know?

That would be fine I'm sure.
Danny is wearing a suit this time for formal night in past he has done long sleeve shirt and docker pants.

I even looked into the tux rentals, but I think that's going to be over the top for this cruise. Maybe for the 14 day next year we'd consider that, but it would probably be more cost effective to just buy a tux at their rates!

My husband will be wearing a suit, but my son-in-law will be wearing pants, shirt and tie to both Palos and Formal Night.

so true. For danny it was case of ok u got off easy last 2 cruises, if i'm wearing heels u can do tie this cruise so he decides to get suit
we got it fairly cheap at outlet mall.

Hmmmm. May get one sent up for my anniversary night.

:scared1::eek::eek::scared1: LOL!

That's fine. DH is wearing a suit, he's bringing 2 different shirts and ties. I have a couple of dresses, but they aren't super-dressy. I will dress them up as much as possible, but if he wore a tux, I would look completely underdressed! He'll also bring Dockers for casual nights.

Is there a list somewhere that says where everyone is staying pre-cruise? I'd love to see who was staying at the Dolphin!

None! LOL We are Disney cruise virgins :woohoo: I can't wait!!

Well you are in for a treat. This will be my sixth Disney Cruise, one on the Wonder and five on the Magic. I know Disney is one of the most expensive, but you will not beat the service and the ship is so clean you can eat off the floor. I also think the Disney ships are the best looking.

I don't even have any kids. I travel with my sister and parents (my sister and I are in one cabin). My mother is in a wheelchair and they treat her like gold.:worship: I can guarantee you will not be disappointed:cheer2:

See you on the Magic:thumbsup2

Thanks :) I am really excited to be trying Disney. We were pretty "loyal to Royal" until they did away with a lot of their frequent cruiser perks :( So...Disney here we come!

I have been working on making my FE gifts...but got the most awesome gift while we were shopping today. I can't WAIT to hand them out :lovestruc I hope eveyone likes it and gets lots of use out of it. One small problem though... they most likely won't fit in a FE :confused3 would it be okay to just hang them from the Fish? I worry about them getting stolen....any ideas?

Oh and I totally forgot I need to buy PJ's for the breakfast! LOL

So much to do, so much to do!!! Hannah starts 1st grade tomorrow and since I will only have my 23 month old home, I will be able to get a little more cruise stuff done!

Tonight I was on disneyshopping.com and bought my DDs 2nd birthday party supplies. They were marked WAY down - Mickey Mouse Clubhouse :) And while I was on there, of course I did a little browsing. Found a pair of jammies for each of my girls for their cruise goodie bags! Woohoo!

Just thought I'd share! Hope everyone has a fabulous week!!!

This is my first time doing FEs too. I certainly hope that no one would steal anything from the FE! I'm sure it would be fine hanging it from them. You may get a different opinion, though, from someone who's done FE before. :confused3
