David - Yes, I wish these days will slow down. The cruise is going to be here before we know it!

Marsha - So sorry to hear about your Dad. :grouphug: But I am happy he was able to go to your daughter's party. :goodvibes

No hurricanes, no hurricanes, no, no, no hurricanes!

Hi Julie,

Great new picture of the kids!

Tell me, do they always behave so nice? I'm just curious.

Kim, we used the brown paper bags. Although they are becoming quite scarce. I actually had to ask special at the grocery store for some. Go figure.

Night all,

David

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Ahem, I mean, "No."

:rotfl:

Welcome back, Marsha! You were missed! So sorry to hear about your Dad.

What do you all mean? You really want the days to slow down?! No way! I won't be saying that until the first day of the cruise. Then I want the days to slow down while cruising. I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER!!! NO NO NO don't slow the days down. Please get me on that ship!! I demand it! :cool1:

I started watching Pirates of the Carribean this weekend. But I haven't had time to finish the movie. I'm trying to get myself psyched for the cruise! pirate:

See ya later. Good night to everyone except Didi. Good morning to Didi. MMMMMMMMMmm I can smell that coffee brewing now! I actually had a cup of coffee this weekend and couldn't stop thinking about Didi. Ha.

Good night. Deanna

Hi all, sure was quiet over the weekend. We had a pretty busy weekend just running errands and helping with disaster relief stuff. Hopefully the gas situation seems to be improving. Saw some lines in Pensacola today, but didn't have to wait here in our hometown for gas. There are still a lot of people here in our area in Shelters. Our church is going to serve lunch and dinner to about 150 people on Thursday and Friday. I'm going to take the girls with me to dinner on Friday, I think it will be good for them(maybe some type of life lesson?). These poor people were deserted by the American Red Cross! Please don't think I'm completely bashing the Red Cross, because I know that they do good things, but here in Baldwin Co. we have not had very much luck with the Red Cross. During Ivan, they refused to help man any Shelters, so Baldwin and Mobile Co. had no Shelters during Hurricane Ivan. That went over really well. In this instance the Red Cross set up this shelter in a nearby town, and then left these 150 people there and decided to leave and go somewhere else! The community is helping the people but, I just don't understand why they set up these shelters and tell these people that they will take care of them, and then leave these people! :confused3

The girls are going back to school tomorrow. It's kinda of a shame, because it almost feels like we are starting all over again. We were just getting into the groove of getting up and getting to school on time. Briley didn't get out of bed until 9:45 this morning. She will be so happy at 6:00am! Oh well, we'll probably just get adjusted and then take off for the cruise! Speaking of the cruise. Suddenly, I'm in panic mode! I just am wondering how I'm going to be ready and packed and try to leave my house in decent shape. I hate leaving town and coming home to a mess. I finally bought my black shoes for formal night, and I thought I was finished shopping. Then I had Holland try on the shoes that I "thought" she was going to wear, and they are too small, so I'm not done shopping yet! Well, I need to get to bed, the kids won't be the only ones dragging in the morning. God did not make me like Didi, the morning and I just don't get along! ;)

Good Morning to all!!! :sunny: :cool1:

The coffee is made thanks to David who saved the day. Coffee comments: Ahhhhhh, smooth, taste like coffee, smells like coffee...good, yummy :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Deanna, I am so proud of you...you have become one with great coffee drinkers of the world!! :cool1: Did you feel the rush? :rotfl2:

I think the first digital pic for the book should be a cup of coffee!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Marsha, welcome back. I am so sorry about your dad, he will be in my prayers.

Erin, thank goodness, God loves all of us just the way we are. That gives my DH, David and Dennis a chance. ;) Boy do I have a mouth full about the Red Cross too, but not enough time this morning to type it. Anyways, lets just say I'm not to happy, and my donation did not go to them.

Julie, what do you mean by that hysterical laughter??? Your sweeeetttt children are not angels?

Oops, I hear the pitter patter of small feet, time to cuddle with my eight year old. I'm hoping it does not stop until he's 18.

Have an awesome day everyone!!! :flower: :flower: :sunny: :sunny: :wave2:

Didi :wizard:

I don't want it to slow down, I have a lot to do but I can't wait to sit and a lounge chair and just relax, for about 20 seconds before DD wants to do something... :goodvibes

I feel very bad for all the hurricane victoms, I can't imageing being with out anything.

I am for the picture album, not to good with that stuff but if you tell me what to do I will help.

Well off to DD doctors appoint hopefully no shots.

Deanna, your such a morning person!!!! :sunny: What you need is a strong cup of coffee... ;)

Hey, Dennis by the way, Kathy did beat me fair and square but it was only by 12 points. All in all, Dennis I may or may not smack you with the cribbage board depending on if I'm winning or not. :rotfl2:

DH better come to my defense here or a major cashectomy will happen. $$$$$

Gosh, what a bummer yesterday to leave the beach. I felt so sad that summer has come full circle.  I know that we have the cruise, but summer is to short here in NE. Well, I still have the Fall, got some apple picking to do and rasberry picking also. The turning of leaves and the crisp fresh air is a wonderful thing too. Tonight the packing is starting after the visit to the chiropractor. The back has suffered from the boogie boarding, but life is way to short. Maybe the adjustment will stay if I don't book it to the beach one more time. You know if the weather is good, I'll be there one more time.

I've got to get back to work.

See Ya!!!

Didi :wizard:

Welcome back everyone... :wave2: It was a quiet weekend while it appears most for you were partying at the local coastline. :Pinkbounc Glad to see everyone is safe.

Marsha ~ More prayers for your Dad & Happy Birthday to DD! :sunny: Agree with SLOW days on the cruise but quick until we get there. Next Hurricane name in the shute is Ophelia ... apparently N has come & gone.

ErinC ~ Glad to hear that conditions are slowly improving. Send our prayers and concern to SouthernMouse when you speak with her.

Deanna ~ Have not watched "P of C", saving it for the weekend before. However, Disney Radio music channel is running farily constant now ... :teeth:

DIDI ~ Thanks for the recognition of my need for help from GOD. :love2: Something I can openly admit on any & every day. However, be aware, HE :earboy2: :earboy2: takes Cribbage lessons from me. :rotfl2:

Julie ~ My mother always laughed hysterically too when someone told her "you have the best behaved kids" ... BUT she had a firm grip on reality. :rotfl2: Quite the "dance" ... are you sure you won't dance on the tables during the "Pub Crawl". :earseek:

Kim ~ Brown Paper Bag book covers! Dating yourself ... :rotfl2: I always like to tell folks I am from the "Initial Number 2 Pencil Tests Generation" ~ I suspect that you know what a Mimeograph is too. :sunny:

Becky ~ Wilderness Lodge it is ...

David & Bill ~ Don't you just LOVE those New England Gals?

OBTW :hourglass

DIDI - SO, your one of those that "accidently" kick the game board when losing? :rotfl2:

Bill ~ Best keep her away from Chrystina  who appears to be able to rationalize EVERY Credit Card expense. :rotfl2: Oh, THAT will cost me $$$!!!!

Dennis

Dennis - Yep, I have the general public fooled into thinking that my kids are well behaved! Tee hee! I do still worry about how they will be at 8:30 dinner when they are usually in bed at 8:30 pm! That might not be pretty. In advance, "I'm sorry!" By the way, you (only you) are scheduled to provide us with dancing during the pub crawl! I can't wait, don't forget! :3dglasses

Didi - Love your coffee report this morning. I love that your 8 year-old lets you cuddle still. I am never letting Jack move out of the house. I'm serious.

Erin - Thanks for keeping us posted. I am happy that things seem to be a little better for you all. I think it's good that you are taking your kids to the church dinner with you - it is a great life lesson. I'm sure those people appreciate everything you all are doing for them. :goodvibes I wanted to ask you and bpicard9 - Do your kids go to half day or full day kindergarten and are your children just exhausted when they get home?? Bailey is in half day (only 3 hours!) and she is so tired when she gets home, it's crazy! I know it's hard to get used to, but I just wondered how your kindergartners are adjusting to it.

Deanna - Glad you had a great lake trip! Do you all take Hwy 50 and go through Sedalia when you go? That's where I was this weekend and I was looking at every car with JoCo Kansas license plates and wondering if that was you! :teeth:

Good morning all!

Marsha- glad to see you posting. I hope things with your dad improve!

Julie- Holland does all day Kindergarten. 7:40-2:40. She is so tired when we get home. She was just getting adjusted when school let out for Katrina. She'll be dragging when I pick her up today. When she gets tired, she gets emotional and cries about everything!(Wonder where she got that from? :confused3 ) She starts telling me that nobody likes her, and the whole world is just so mean (what a flair for the dramatic!). Some days I just have to put her in the tub and let her soak, and put her pajamas on by 4:00! Briley was the same way when she was in Kindergarten(not so emotional though). It will get better and she will adjust, it just takes time.

Dennis-Southernmouse is just fine! I probably shouldn't be the one to spill the news (but hey she knows I can't keep a secret!), but she and Ethan had to make the grandparent rounds this weekend to share the good news!! The Southernmouse family is adding a new member in about 8 months! WOOHOO. !!! :jumping1: Julie, if Keri eats too much before the cruise she may need to borrow your formal dress with the belly cut out! ;) With any luck, I'll see her this weekend in Birmingham. We'll try to snap photo and post it when I return. Thanks for asking about her!

I really didn't think I was THAT old, but I too have covered many a book with brown paper book covers! I also (as an early childhood education major) learned to use and operated many times a mimeograph machine!

Just got back from a long weekend at our beach cottage. Put in an exterior door, ripped up a floor, framed a wall and installed an interior wall. We're pooped.

Now, on to this cruise!!!!

Happy to see that the documents are "in the mail." My travel agent usually sends them to us along with a bunch of Disney goodies. Last year, she mailed a Disney CD, a waterproof camera, some Disney stickers and coloring books for the kids and a Mickey photo album. It's a very nice touch.

Hey Dennis - how 'bout them Irish this past weekend, huh?

So, what's the definite meeting plan? Are there two? One at the coffee shop in the terminal for us early birds that plan to get there early and the second in Parrot Cay for lunch? How will we identify ourselves? Are we getting those Lime Green Mickey paint samples from Home Depot and pinning them to our shirts or something? Have we decided to skip the hometown gift?

Southernmouse and family - Woo-Hoo! Congratulations on your future addition to your family. That is so wonderful! There is nothing like a newborn. You can borrow my stylish formal dress any time you want!!!! :rotfl:

Forgot to add, Julie great pic. We have to cherish the sweet pictures, because they are so few and far between!

Thanks! The best part is, I didn't even tell her to kiss him!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Congrats to SouthernMouse and family!!! No docs here yet....still waiting to do that dance!

Hi Everyone, :wave2:

I haven't posted enough as DHMcEntee (Bill) to be allowed to put up a picture. :badpc: :badpc: So I'm placing the latest surfer pics of our son up on Didi's  space.

Bill :earsboy:

Hi everyone, :teeth:

I was just having some fun putting together some pics of the DS. :sunny: He is definitely a slice off the old ham. At 8 years old he's not into football, but when that day comes, we'll have to have a talk about gloating in the end zone. :teacher:

Apparently I haven't earned my ears yet enough to be trusted with a link, so the photos must go up thru Didi's ID for now. Oh well, what's a wart hog to do? :rotfl:

Bill :earboy2:
