We are planning to do BB when we get off the ship. Are you planning to go before or after?(seems like we might have discussed this, but with my feeble mind... :rotfl2: ) Then we'll spend the night at Boardwalk Villas, and then on Sunday morning we'll face the inevitable, and head back home! :sad1:

We are heading over to BB as soon as they can pry my fingers from the magic and carry me off kicking and screaming :rotfl:

Hope to perhaps spend a relaxing day decompressing at BB. Then to BW airport inn and yes begin the long travel day home on Suday.
Hoping it won't be too crowded at BB.??? any ideas???
Haven't told DD's we are going there yet. Going to make it a suprise.

That was a qoute Erin C.....I think there might be something wrong with the boards tonight. Very slow.

Hi Deanna,
Yes, American weddings and Canadian weddings are basically the same. Except here in Canada we have somewhat unusual tradition for bridal showers. You know how it's always customary for the bride to wear a paper plate on her head adorned with all the bows from her gifts? Well, here in Canada we use a different location. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Southwest group- there is another fare sale to Florida. Check out the fares to get yours lowered. Julie- Our return flights are now lower again. I changed my return flight only this morning. I saved an additional 150 dollars again. Do you remember how to do it? Good luck.

Giles family- I'm running to work and can't look at pic yet. I'll do it when I return home. This pic should be good.

See ya. Deanna

HI ALL,

I THINK I PUSHED ON TO PAGE 100!!!

Am I easily pleased, or what?

Good Afternoon Everyone :thewave: I am in on the No Hurricane dance!!

Dennis - you didn't do anything but DiDi lives closer, you know the home team thing, and she also said she would help me practice.

Ingrid - the plate wearing looks more fun your way.

Great picture! Now I want to be a Canadian Bride!!

Deanna -

Thank you AGAIN!!!!!!! I have an even bigger credit with Southwest now! WOO-HOO!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Julie- No problem on Southwest. I now have around 550 dollars of credit! Awesome! We are getting so computer smart. I'm proud of us! Also, if you truly want to be a Canadian Bride, we could have you and your husband renew your wedding vows on the ship, and the DIS ladies will throw you a Canadian wedding shower! Then you can wear the plates to dinner that night. What do ya think? Are you in? :cool1:

Giles family- thanks for the pic! Too funny :rotfl: :teeth: !!!! Your daughter is such a beautiful girl! She does look much more grown than your original picture you sent of her! Too bad she can't join you on the cruise!

Have a good evening. I have a lot to do! Deanna

I just got the Southwest email confirming the change and showing the credit. I love it! Remember all of the stress about booking the flight way back in May?!? I can sleep easy tonight! :cloud9:

You guys don't have to go through a bridal shower, just get me some fancy paper plates for formal night! Tee, hee! I get squirrely when I save me some sweet moolah!! :teeth:  :sad2: :rolleyes1 :tilt: :yo-yo: :cat: :jester:

Ingrid - I agree with Deanna, your daughter is absolutely beautiful. She looks so happy! Is she excited to be a bride? :bride: What are her colors? What style is her wedding dress? Flowers for the bouquet? I have to ask all of these questions because I never had a proper wedding! It's coming up soon. Good luck!

Julie, wouldn't that be the Madonna "cone" look for formal night??? :rotfl2:
Did you say "your" wedding is coming up soon or Ingrids??? :confused3

If its any consolation our first "wedding" was at the Plaza Hotel in Vegas....doubled with friends, No flowers, no family and the worst part (for me that is) NO CAKE!!!!! I love cake!!!! :rotfl: and my bathingsuit shopping show's it ;) .. :rotfl2:

Way to go you guys on your SW savings :cool1: , thats awesome.

I need to check budgets web site again and see if they have any good deals going. We have a reservation but can cancel and rebook if its cheaper.

Sorry, no not my wedding, but Ingrid's daughter's!

We eloped and were married at one of those tiny little chapels. It was fun, but no one knew about it! And no cake at our's either!

:bride: :groom:
Julie,
I'm a little vague on the details myself because Robyn basically planned her wedding on her own. I would have loved to have "dug right in" to the wedding plans, but I also did'nt want to be pushy either. Although it was hard, I told her that I was there if she needed me, but otherwise she could plan it herself. And she did. The ceremony will be held at a church and she hired a string quartet. And that's when I'm gonna need a BIG box of tissue. The music gets me every time! Then the wedding party is going to be whisked off in a limo SUV to the legislative grounds for picture taking. We are holding the reception at a neighbourhood hotel with a dance to follow. Her dress is halter-type with a train and has Austrian crystal on the dress and train. It's absolutely BEAUTFUL! Her colours are going to be primarily burgundy, with autumn colors as accents. The centerpieces for the table will be baskets with burgungy and dark orange, with autumn leaves scattered around it. The bridesmaids with be wearing solid burgundy, and the flowergirl (her little sister!) will be wearing ivory with a burgundy band around the waist with burgundy embroidery at the bottom of the dress. I was "ordered" to have a turn at the podium during the reception, so decided to do up a powerpoint presentation. That way I don't have to talk much. I can just tell everyone to "turn their attention toward the screen". whew! :scared: I have alternating pictures of Robyn and her fiance from pictures of them as bare-bottomed babies all the way until they met. I mean, that's why parents take all those embarrasing pictures, right? So that they can dig them up for their kid's wedding and show EVERYONE, right?! :rotfl:

DH and I got married late in life so we did'nt have a wedding either. This was my choice though. We flew down to Victoria and got married at the grounds of an ocean-front beach hotel under a big old oak tree! It was only the two of us, a wedding commissioner, and a wedding coordinator who was the witness. A half hour after we married, we were in the middle of the ocean whale watching! It was great and I don't regret it one bit. However, I did have one upset mother-in-law though. She was hell-bent on planning her son's wedding and having a big party and she didn't get her way. Nothing like starting off a good relationship with mother-in-law.. :rotfl2:

Marsha- Glad you figured out the credit thing. As I don't think you were here when we originally got credit. I'm sure you read the previous threads though. Good for you! Maybe I should plan a trip to DW also! Yippee! :cheer2:

Giles family- Wedding sounds absolutely lovely! Since your other daughter is the flower girl, I guess she will already have a dress for formal night. Am I right? :bride:

We had the church wedding with 200 guests. So no big stories to tell you on this end. :bitelip:

Back to school night last night. I had a moment where I absolutely couldn't believe I had a child old enough to be in middle school. Am I really that old!? :earboy2:

Didi- did we ever officially decide the party meeting time? I'm ready to party already!

See ya. Deanna

I went back looking for the instructions it change the southwest took awhile but I found them.

I had the big wedding, but on a budget paid and planned it my way. Bumped heads with the mother in law, but somethings never change. :confused3 :confused3

I am ready to party too
