DD will start college during the fall of 2012 so DW and I booked this cruise.
Don't tell DD.

Bill

I have added your link to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

I'm starting to feel like Chuck Noland talking to his friend Wilson.

"Don't worry Wilson, I'll do all the paddling. You just hang on" :lmao:

So I thought I would stop by and say hi. We are booked for this cruise!!! Hoping for some Disney magic and they announce KSF. They did that to our MR cruise and it saved us a ton. But we are looking forward to going up the CA coast. Cant wait to get to know everyone. :)

We booked on this Wonder cruise last week.:banana: It's our first ever cruise and we'll be flying in from New Zealand specially for a Disney themed holiday. Our kids will be nearly five (twin boys) and it's a big treat for us all. We're going to do Disneyland, Legoland etc etc the week after the cruise. Everyone's really excited and it'll be my first visit to Disneyland since 1988!

Welcome all.
We are looking forward to another great Disney cruise.
Since our youngest will have just started college, I hope it will be as much fun without kids as it has been for the last 12+ years on DCL with kids.
Bill

Bill I'm sure that this cruise will be as much fun without children as they have been in the past with your kids. Just a different kind of different maybe. If you miss the 'kid factor' I'm happy to lend you my boys, however I'm pretty sure that you'll hand them back as they are busy busy boys! I'm looking forward to hearing all about your previous DCL cruise experiences - your cruise experience looks amazing.

Mindy I've just read your entire trip report and I learned so much from it. Thanks for posting it way back in 2008. I showed my husband the cute pics of your children graduating on the cruise. I'm hoping they still do this as I'm sure my husband and I will be in floods of tears.

I'm getting so excited about coming to the US and cruising DCL. It's like a wonderous dream. The kids are already completely excited and telling all their pals at kindergarten all about the Disney Wonder.

Hi guys, just checking in... Previous poster, why would you do Legoland AFTER the cruise? We will be stopping in San Diego. Perhaps go then? Just a thought.
Thanks for the compliment for the trip report... We did the MR cruise in March and loved it. I wanted to do a trip report but never got around to doing one.
When the time comes and gets closer, we need to organize a Fish Extender group for our trip. They are NOT TO BE missed on a DCL. Anyone else intersted? 409 days to go. LOL.

We are spending about a week in San Diego after DCL and Disneyland. There is so much we want to do down in San Diego it's worked out to be a weeks worth of activities. On the cruise day in port we'll probably just do the zoo or whatever else they offer.

I'm up for a FE exchange! Already started planning out what I'm bringing with us for it.

Seems like ages away, just over a year now. We can't wait. We've had our first ever snowfall in our area. In comparrison, it's like it snowing in San Diego right down to the sea. The kids have been out making snowmen in the snow after seeing their first snow falls :woohoo:. I've never seen anything like it in 40+ years of living in the Wellington region of NZ. I gather most people in the USA are roasty warm at the moment too.

You are right about there being a lot to do in San Diego... a whole week there would be wonderful. Perfect weather. Not like AZ where it was 111 degrees today. I love CA but personally I would never live there. I like to visit and come home.

I can't wait for San Diego - I could honestly do three weeks there and not repeat anything and still miss stuff.

I'm hearing you on the weather at the moment, we are at the other end of the spectrum - it was -2C the day you wrote your last post and highly abnormal weather here in NZ. Whole country blanketed in snow, even Wellington area where we live. Last time it snowed here like that was the mid 1970's... My husband went out on his 15km morning run, despite advice from me not to go, fell on black ice and broke his arm. I guess it's a bit like it snowing in San Diego for rareness, but him being from Northern England should know all about black ice. Now he's got a purple cast on for the next month as he let the boys pick the colour.:rotfl:

Yay we booked our airline tickets today - our national carrier was offering 30% off so we jumped at it. Even flying out of our wee local airport on a teeny plane to get up to Auckland as our national carrier started flying from Paraparaumu today. So happy today!!! :cool1:

It always make it feel so real when you buy the airline tickets.

It's a pity they now paper based documents - the romance of getting all those little tickets with the carbons seems to have gone by the wayside now.

Are you with us on this cruise?

Laura and I are booked on this cruise and are looking forward to going, but there is quite a bit of life between now and then.

Katie has college apps. turned into 8 universities with 5 letters of acceptance back so far.

Have already visited Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, University of Central Missouri, Missouri State, Alabama and Clemson.

Just back from visiting the University of Oklahoma this weekend.

Have a DCL Dream cruise booked this December.

More University visits this spring.

DCL Fantasy this summer.

Move Katie into wherever she is going to school.

Then a "Rents Retreat" as in Parents Retreat on the DCL Wonder along the Pacific Coast.

Unless something blows up we have every intention of making this cruise.

Bill

I just switched a Dream 4 night for this cruise - it is a surprise for DH's birthday (and an excuse to book, not that I need much of one). Hopefully he doesn't snoop on the DIS or he will figure it out.

My name is Gail and DH is David - we have 3 DS - 2 are married and the last one is in college and will be getting married right before this trip. It will be #14 for us - actually just got off the Magic last Saturday. Why am I DISing - I still have a suitcase to unpack. Oh well, it isn't going anywhere and neither am I - for a few weeks anyway.

Can't wait to get to know everyone as this trip gets closer.

Gail,
Welcome aboard.
This will be #12 for us but #1 without kids.

Hi all, I have booked this cruise for myself, my Mum and my daughter (6) who will turn 7 on the last day of the cruise.

We are coming from Australia and are going to spend time before and after the cruise at Disneyland, Legoland, some time in LA and lots of shopping.

DD does not know about the cruise and this will be her early birthday surprise.
