Sept 22, 2013. A Pirate's Life on the Dream.

Thank you for the pixie thoughts -

I got what I wanted via 3 airlines (paid and miles) with First Class from LAX - MCO - LAX!!!

I didn't have to pay $950++ but got it at my original $750!!!

Now the waiting begins.....

Yeah! You are as good as nearly there! All aboard....

Getting excited!

I will be able to make my Palo reservations next week Monday!!! :cool1:

We are definitely getting closer!! :thumbsup2

Hello we just booked our trip and we are so excited its a large group of us 10 total but in our cabin will be my husband, myself and my 2 daughters ages 11 and 16. The younger one has no problem with meeting new people and becoming friends. Now my oldest total opposite I am actually looking to see if there are any other kids around her age that maybe she could connect with a little before we sail. Maybe on fb or Instagram. She's a little shy but I really want her to at lest try the teen club and hopefully she will meet someone to hang out with a little on the ship!!!

Hello everyone :wave2:

We (myself, sister and mum) have booked ourselves on this cruise. We are DVC members, and we were looking for ways to spend our points this year and really treat ourselves. Last year we moved from the UK to Australia, so last year's annual holiday was out, thus extra points this year :D We were doing the 3-night days before, until we started reading up about the cruises... now we're doing the 4-night. We also upgraded cabins! This holiday is going to be action-packed, with Disney before and after cruise, as well as a stopover in LA! :D

I would love to find out more about FE and join in! We'll probably magnetically decorate our room door too! Here's our details, and I also requested to join the FB group as well:

Family Name: Wareham

Names of all people in your cabin: Elizabeth (female, 30), Catherine (female, 28), Val (female, 54)

Cabin #: 7602

Any Special event you are celebrating while on the cruise: My belated 30th birthday. (Planned 2yrs ago to be in WDW for my 30th, then we decided to move countries and all plans went out the window!)

Welcome Aboard mateys!

amandalacey2001 - there is a facebook page, I am not on FB but I think if you use this same thread name you may connect there also, esp if you don't get a respose from here because we are still kinda quiet here.

We are in two places because there are a few of us not on FB.

Twilight Terror - stephiann is currently graciously coordinating our FE and has us split into two groups. I am sure she will connect here and if you are on the FB she goes there too.

We are a little quiet on here but I think that as soon as we start getting closer we may be getting more !

Thanks HiMagicFan! I'm really looking forward to it; it's definitely going to be different for us! Trip number 'Too many to count' to WDW, but our first time ever on a cruise!

What activities are people hoping to do? We would like to do the kayak/hike and the 5km run. No idea when I can book them though :( :yay:

I can tell you that the 5km run is able to sign up on board. It is not a true 5km in that there is no chip, but there is a clock to time yourself. You get a bib (I don't think it is personalized from what I have read on the boards) and a plastic medal for finishing. Also you can purchase run shirts at the store on the island.

I am a silver (the lowest) level and our opening time starts June 24th so I am guessing for newbies it is sometime after that. Check on the disney website under the planning center cuz that is where I found out when I could start reserving things - like Palo!

Our plans are pretty much to chill and enjoy the ship - we are not doing any excursions in nassau or anything special on Castaway (we were thinking of doing the 5k but will make our final decision once on ship).

I do want to do Palo brunch and the rainforest on nassau and at sea days. Other than that - just enjoy whatever they have for us on board.

We are arriving on 9/21 at 5:30am and heading to WDW. We are checking into the Contemporary and then heading to MK.

We will be taking the Disney Cruise transportation to port and then back to WDW to Port Orleans.

Does anyone know what time we arrive at Port Canaveral? Does it matter what time online check in will be?

Does anyone know what time we depart Port Canaveral?

I will probably also ask this question on the other thread as well...

thanks!

That's better. I finally managed to retrieve my reservation (putting in the wrong number because we have two - DVC one and Cruise one) Looks like we can start booking stuff on the 9th July.

I don't know if it makes a difference or anything. My sister made the reservation and I thought they would automatically add it under her name, but for some reason, they put mum as the lead person! So technically, our reservation is actually under 'Tibenham'! :thumbsup2

We also arriving on saterdayevening late. We booked a hotel near the airport with shuttle service and booked the Disney Cruise Transportation from the airport. I don't know exactly how late this transport starts, but I suppose in the morning. They fill the coaches and leave when it is full.
From the resorts I can't find it.
You have to be onboard before 3.45 pm. But if you booked with DCL then you will be in time.

The return to resort is going from disembarkation time. On the port are lots of shuttle busses. We had done this on our first cruise. We had the late breakfast on board and were about 9.30 am in the bus to the resort.

Now we go to Port Orleans riverside after the cruise and booked the DCL transfer.

You always can call DCL about the times of the shuttle busses.

Thanks ~ this is good information....I know we are scheduled for late breakfast and 9:30am sounds good to me. I just wanted to get to the resort before lunch.

That would be no problem.
We got to the resort (Caribbean Beach) checked in and setteled in our room and were in Epcot at lunch time on the first day.
We are planning this also this trip.

Yes us also. You will be at PO enjoying lunch no problem! They organise those buses so well. They got another cruise to get out and more guests to get from WDW to the port so they want us back asap! Which is good news for us! We got of at 8:30 last time! If you carry your own bags you can get off when you want!

We are from The Villages, Florida and are sailing with our MickeyFanatics Club. We are driving to the port on the day of sailing but a big group of us is arriving by bus. It should be fun. I hope to have my Mickey Fanatics T shirt by then.

So I saw this idea on another thread on here of doing a Beer Exchange! Anyone who is interested in participating brings a 6 pack or 12 pack of local beer from where they're from. Then on the cruise, everyone participating meets up and exchanges the beer. So everyone gets 6 or 12 different beers from all these different places!

Is there anyone that would be interested in doing this on our cruise? I don't mind organizing this if there's an interest!
