And this is what she said when I called to get a couple of quotes...

I can switch you when the free dining comes out between the 6th and 9th of April .... and instead of the 15th of August what about the 23rd of Aug? We would have no problem switching you for the Free Dining with no cost to you what so ever....

It ain't cheap. We are staying (2 adults one child) for six nights, park hoppers, and dining plan) for $2,530.25 at rack rate. Hoping, praying, wishing on wishing stars and doing a ceremonial dance for Free Dining!

Count us in for Sept. 09. We are currently booked for the 9th through 19th. But I plan on changing the dates to later in the month. DD will start preschool on the 7th and I don't want to have her miss her first week.

Here's hoping for some fantastic discounts. I would love to see the price of my trip drastically decrease. And I would love to try to overlap a possible Free Dining trip with Food and Wine at Epcot.

$149/night - August 9 thru October 1

That is the cheapest rack rate of the year, September is all considered Value Season.

The rumor is that DV will be able to book on 3/26 and GP on 3/30.

Just remember that FD has a limited number of rooms at each resort and when there gone you have to switch resorts to get FD. I don't want to rain on the FD parade and most people changing to FD on the 1st day should be OK. We did get booted out one year and had to change resorts.

Disney dream dollars are non-transferable, if that's what you mean.
Only you can use them.

But they can be used for your hotel reservation and at the parks or restaurants.

I should have stated that I went thru a Disney approved Travel agent and am counting on her to do what needs to be done the minute it can be done, she is really good about doing what ever I need and I counted on her heavily for our ADR's, she got them all including CRT the day after Christmas.

I just stating how the FD plan works, so if somebody reads this they will have some kinda idea that a reservation now doesn't mean you can call anytime and change to FD with the same reservation. Where in Ohio do you live, I'm from just outside of Cleveland. I priced airfare today and found its cheaper for us to go to Columbus catch a plane back to Cleveland then get on the plane to Orlando.
