SEPT 2009 code watch

Thanks Chuck, we also go kidless but have been there at rope drop. This will be our first Sept. trip. We generally have the major rides done by 11:00am then spend the rest of the day at a much slower pace.

We start slow and get slower as the day and week go on. I'm on vacation and never in a hurry there. The things we want to see and do like you we do early. Last time we waited until our last day to see the little mermaid show at AK and it was closed for the entire day  We'll make sure thats one of the 1st things we do this time. Have a great time,
Chuck

We have started out in commando mode each of our visits in the a.m.
Then back to the resort to nap in the afternoon. Last year we slowed somewhat but we still get caught up in the excitement. Curious I've seen a Little Mermaid show at DHS is this a new one at AK?

We are all booked for 9.7.09 through 9.12.09 at the All Star Movies, on the free dining plan! Celebrating on DD's bday and another's first trip to WDW.

I believe it is, we also seen the Lion King show at AK and thought it was real nice lots of action. Its the one that people handle the puppets on stage. We also do the going back to the room thing at 12:30 - 1:30 the heat and walking do us in pretty early, plus we get to use the pool without very many people there. AK is our favorite park of then all, then Epcot,MK and the Studios.

The show at AK where people handle the puppets is Finding Nemo, not Little Mermaid. Little Mermaid is at DHS.

I'm not sure if they're still doing it, but if you have lunch at Tusker House between 1 and 1:45, you get to sit in a reserved section for Finding Nemo show at 3:45. The theater's pretty cool, and of course shaded, so it's a nice place to get out of the sun!

Changed resorts and dates (again.) Back to our original dates 9/22-10/2 but now at Wilderness Lodge at my daughter's request. :)

OOOOH I am so excited!

We've seen that show! snykymom is right it is Finding Nemo. To each their own I find AK one of the toughest parks to tour. Of course it's big and the crowds seem to be more concentrated. MK is probably our fav with Epcot close behind. We saw the last Pocohontas during our last visit. I was sad to see it go it really was neat for the toddler crowd. I still remember the 1st visit to MK and it's literal goosebump effect.

I can't help myself! I just added two more days to the front of our reservation. Now we're 9/20-10/2. We have free dining (upgraded to Deluxe, though) so I thought "why not?".

The way I figure it, I'll have 10 day tickets, plus we are going to the MNSSHP twice, so those 12 days will be covered perfectly. Less "rushing" too, as we'll have so much time to see stuff.

Now to see if the cat sitter will put up with my unruly felines a couple more days.

Hey all, I could use your opinions or advice. We are booked for after the 20th. According to the dates people are giving on here, it looks like a popular time. Also, MNSSHP and FWF will be going on. We went this time last year and with FP we got to do everything we wanted, but it's not like the parks were empty or anything.

Lots of people have been saying that the parks are dead after Labor Day, with low wait times, even on Soarin, with walk ons in the MK.

I looked at past weather data, and the temps aren't drastically different for the different weeks. I also looked at crowd reports, and according to them, the crowds should be about the same for both weeks. :confused3

So, I'm really having a hard time deciding. I don't care if I miss FWF.

Anybody been at beg. and end of Sep?

Thanks for the tips! :thumbsup2

I have thought about adding a day to ours too, but it will be like 8 or 9 before we even hit Orlando so I don't see paying the 170.00 for the night. The only good thing would be that I would have extra dining credits. Dang! What should I do?

I updated the list again.

Disneysuncat- I changed your dates again. I'm about to start you your own page:rotfl::rotfl:..

Happy May 1st everyone. We are down to 4 months left!

I have been in the begining and end of Sept but both trips were before the free dining existed. So I'm sure crowds are a little larger since.

1 trip started day after labor day and the first week of that trip the crowds were so low it was eerie. All rides were walk-ons. I went of Space Mountain 3 times without getting off the ride. Kali twice and BTMRR twice. It was great I didn't have to wait for anything, but somethings were kinda wierd. The parades were pathetic with no one watching. I like having other people in the theaters with me for the shows. The next week there were a few more people.

My end of Sept trip. There were a few more people but not a whole lot. Most lines were 10 mins or less. I actually liked this trip better than the first because I like to see some people around me. Just don't want enough to make the lines long.

Keep in mind this was before free dining so I don't know what that has done to the crowds.

HollyP, don't hate me but I've changed my dates, too. I realized I wanted something longer than a "long weekend", so I'm going Sept. 9-15.

thanks!

Just want to make sure.... ADr's can only be made 90 days out..... correct?
Thanks in advance to all replies:)

We decided to add a day too, so now we are going Sept. 20 - Sept. 29, at Pop Century. (They at first said it might be hard to add a day, as Pop was pretty booked for the sale, but then they found our three rooms no problem!)
One more day of free dining! Mmmmmmm....

We go at the beginning of September every year-and usually make the first date of MNSSHP, which we are doing again this year. The weather is FANtastic, the crowds are ridiculously low and we absolutely love it!
:thumbsup2
